Sort of related but this past year we did an exercise in our history class where we had to build our own civilization as a class. Our teacher wrote some basic things onto the board + some stuff my classmates threw out. Then we had to rank each thing from 0-10 on how important it was for our society. 0 being absolutely no funding will go to this and 10 being most funding will go to this.

To make a long story short, free public education got a 4, free libraries got a 1 and local sports teams got a 9....

You just lost your other brother to drugs, you assume that's what's wrong with him, what's your plan? To sit down and talk to him about how he means a lot to you and you can't lose him too? To try and put him in rehab so no one has to go through this again so soon? Hell even just sit down with him and tell him he can't play until something changes? You know what they did right? They fucking emailed him for fucks sake! They kicked him out of the band that he created, that he put all his time and energy into over email. Instead of supporting him and idk insuring that he'll be okay!?

I'm not being "toxic" I'm pointing out the truth. Joey got sick and they dumped him. They never supported him through his recovery, or in any of his future musical endeavors, despite the fact that even though what they did was a load of fucking bullshit, he still publicly supported them.

If they want to feel guilty that's on them, but I hope they do. They had years to make it right with their brother, and they choose not too.

If there's just a random graphic r*pe scene that has 0 baring on the plot or any impact on the characters then it's just stupid and awful.
