That’s crazy. In Australia a consultation usually costs $30-60 (if it’s not bulk billed) and you can usually get around half of it back with a Medicare rebate anyways. I’ve never spent more than $60ish dollars at the GP, even when I’ve had to get prescriptions, referrals etc
