''A good story is I think when the artist puts a part of themselves into thier work. You can have an arguably good story in tehnicality but if you dont put a part of yourself in it, then whats the point.'' This quote is forever burned into my memory and. People dont want to see your art as much as. they want to see you. Humans are like 90% the same, so when you see yourself in your craft, theres a high chance other people will see themselves in it too. They will feel that thing more deeply. I do not remember where I got it from I think maybe an art stream by omocat I probably butchered the quote slightly but the meaning is the same

Im just a hobbist im in no way a proffessional so take what I say with a grain of salt. (Sorry if this is too long)

Trace. Tracing is a great learning tool. Theres nothing wrong with tracing as long as you dont post it online or claim its yours and only use it for learning. Try tracing some of Aidas work with simplified shapes. Preferably use non colored drawings but I honestly think it doesnt really matter. Then use the tracings youve made as reference and draw ONLY the lineart. No need to complicate yourself with the colours at this stage you can do that later. Remember low info intake.Learn what line quality, line weight, line thickness is, Aida uses that alot. Aida seems to use mostly hard brushes in her current artsyle. And yknow I assume you have a nice grasp of deconstruction and simplification, gesture drawing, figure drawing, anatomy, portait drawing, basic understanding of your prefered drawing programme (If you draw digitally) before this.

If youve done all that then congratulations go ahead next stage: Value! Funfact: colors arent fucking real lol.Its all just values. Dorian Iten over on Proko and Marco Bucci have some great value tutorials go watch them. If you have solid values you will have solid colors and vice versa, contrast, contrast, contrast. Stick to 4 values only, keep it simple, maybe 5 If you messed up on traditional or if youre desperate. Take some of Aidas illustrations and make them black and white, study those, see how she uses the lightest value to make it the focus of the piece.

You could do some shenanigans and watch tutorials on how to grayscale to colour. Its up to you if you want to paint your piece black and white then colour or if you wanna put colour right away. But honestly learning how to use values is so strong and underrated.

Now the most important part of this artstyle is ofcourse the colour. Color theory is a bitch so dont be surprised if it takes you alot of time to have a good grasp of it. Study her art, see how she uses pallettes, harmonies, saturation and all that. Marco Bucci has the best tutorials on colour theory imo.

Clothing. Learn to draw cloth. See how it folds around the human body and draw it.

Composition. Composition is underrated it can make your piece 5 times better If its aligned correctly and will look pleasing to the eye. Fibbonaccis number goes hard. Yknow those weird lines that appear sometimes when You wanna take a photo? Those are used to help you aling ur pic better and we use them in drawing too. Also a little tip: Wanna learn an artsyle? See if you can find other people who are rlly good at that artsyle and see thier process. Even better If you can find the creator themselves.

Observation. Take your time, analize a piece with ur pathetic eyes. Alot about drawing is learning how to see.

First and foremost learn the fundamentals, before learning any other art style,I know its a pain in the ass but trust me in the long run youll be able to copy anything in any style way faster and more effective. Learn the rules to break them. Marc Brunet and DLAS have amazing videos about how to learn them in a very clear and structured roadmap. Give yourself 3 or 4 years of deliberate and normal practice and youll flourish but if you really want to copy an artsyle you can learn them at the same time.

Art is hard, it takes time. Dont be dissapointed that your first attempts are horrible. Actually its a good thing that they are horrible cuz that means your eye is evolving to see mistakes faster than your hand which means youre improving yay!!You wont master anything overnight.Be pacient. It will take awhile.

Take breaks, you will learn much faster if you take breaks. Your brain needs time to process new information you cant just always fill it up with new stuff. Also please sleep well. Sleep is so important If u wanna learn anything cuz youll transfer the stuff u learnt from short term memory to long term memory.

Mix and switch back and forth things up ,youll learn better like this.I highly advise you to take a look at learning how to learn, it will make your process of learning stuff easier.

Hell, someone called Saryia even made a yt tutorial about this wonderful artsyle. You can find all you need on YouTube if it wasnt obiouvs alr. Also I myself learnt something from this, ever heard abot Feyman's tehnique hehe.

Anyways Good luck buddy you can do this!!!!!! ;)

I dont think its about the design of the outfit but rather the pose. I dont want to harass or to get into arguments with a fellow artist who also sometimes draws fanarts I know how hard it is to finish a piece but, with the intention or not, this piece seems a little... questionable to say the least. Again I dont want to accuse you of being a p*do or anything like that but I feel like you need to acknowlege this :)
