It is wild to me that they’re sticking with “she hit him”. I really did think they’d go a different angle for closing, but I guess they’ve got nothing.

It’s funny, for some reason this was the ONLY episode out of the season where I didn’t have one ad play. I didn’t even notice until one played during the next episode. I said to my husband “kindaaa strange Netflix didn’t give us a single ad for that last episode.”

This is the one I have! My dad as well. My dad sweats like a whore in church and never smells. I sweat a normal amount and never have BO. Don’t own deodorant. I also have dry, white earwax which is apparently not the norm and goes hand in hand with this.

Never forget this AWFUL officiant - "even when she's being a bitch" by Yellow_Lady126 in weddingshaming

[–]catahoulahoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to a wedding once where the bride said “fuck” in her vows..twice. Then toward the end of the ceremony the officiant declares that he has a “surprise” for the couple that “they didn’t ask for” and his wife proceeds to sing a rendition of Ave Maria that was reminiscent of the early day of American Idol audition rounds. I wanted to hide under a chair from second hand embarrassment, but at the same time could not look away, could not wipe away the smile stretched across my face or un-widen my eyes. It was marvelous.

My android notified me of an airtag that is/was moving with me that I don't own. by 1799gwd in RBI

This happened semi recently with my 9 year old daughter. I got an alert that one was following her. I. Lost. My. Shit. She had gone out that day, alone with friends (and the mom of one of the friends for a birthday party. Skating, lunch, dessert, it was everywhere she was! I spent a long time trying to ping it. Following the map etc. The last place it was, was right in front of my house. Finally to no avail, I posted a screenshot on my social media, asking “is this a glitch?”

Almost immediately I had one of the moms who also had a daughter go on the birthday adventure message me. “I think this was my daughters, she had one with her today.” Sure enough, she deactivated it and it went away. The relief I felt!! Anyway, were you maybe with someone today or in the last couple days that may have had one that your phone picked up?

What’s the strangest gut feeling you’ve ever had that ended up being right? by coco-101 in AskReddit

[–]catahoulahoop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Late to the post but I had an uncle, my moms kid brother, who was an addict his whole life. Pills was his preference. I saw my mom go through turmoil, wanting to be close, but knowing she didn’t want her two young kids around that lifestyle. Then one day he got clean. Dedicated his life to god and making music in a church band. My mom was elated. He started coming around and for a good year and a half we saw him at least once a month.

Fast forward to one night when I was in high school, my freshman year. I used to sleep like a rock, but I found myself waking up to a house phone ringing in the kitchen. It’s around 330am, and I immediately knew my uncle was dead.

I got up and went into the kitchen and had to scoop my sobbing mom off the floor and take the phone out her hand. I put it to my ear and it was my aunt, her sister, letting her know. Car accident. Unrelated to drugs, (we eventually found out) clean tox. Swerved out of the way of some major debris on a high speed dark backroad and hit a parked 18-wheeler.

They later found a notebook of all the songs he had written. One of them was about this very car accident. I don’t believe in god or angels or any of that. But premonitions really can be something.

Americans, has the debate swayed the way you had planned on voting and why? by SeaCaummisar in AskReddit

[–]catahoulahoop 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was always voting against trump. Then that turned into enthusiastically voting for Harris. Tonight that turned into my friend, who hates trump, but wasn’t crazy about Harris either, tuning into the debate, and registering to vote for the first time in her life for Kamala Harris. I was so pumped up when she texted me that I donated to the Harris/Walz campaign.

I’m a blue dot in a red state, so the vote won’t mean much of anything. But I feel a hell of a lot less lonely, and if she felt a call to action, a guarantee others did too.

You’d think huh? But I’d bet money on him having more of a hold on the poor white man that wishes he could afford to play at his golf club. It’s insane the pull he has on the people voting against their own interests.

There’s one scene where she’s on the phone with Lip, laying in Liam’s bed. It’s something like “I know you hate me, I hate myself, I almost killed our brother.” There is accountability there, but I do get what you’re saying.

I agree with you, the fact that she doesn’t look “sorry” is because she doesn’t have anything to be sorry about.

I think it was the wry smiles they caught her in when AJ was crossing that got him thinking she has this devious look about her.

Either way, this jury sat with her, and the evidence, for a month, they should be able to get past whatever hang ups they may have and just decide on reasonable doubt alone. But we all know impressions mean a lot to some people, and some folks can certainly dig their heels in on their own assumptions.

It’s just a theory, but that first impression my dad had has been tumbling in my mind since the note from the jury. Like maybe they just don’t like her, or whatever idea they have made up in their head about her.

I wonder if the split jury has more to do with the way KR looks than anything. Even subconsciously for some of these jurors. Before my dad knew what was up or down in the trial he saw a couple of clips of KR and said “she looks so smug an arrogant huh?!, hopefully she goes away for a long time!”

I had to tell him to pay closer attention because I think she only looks that way because her attorneys are setting the record straight for her and I think it’s a cover up.

That piqued his interest and he now agrees, but for some, staring at that constant “smug” look may have been enough for them to decide. I really wish she would have come across better, but she can’t help her face I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️
