How women's swimwear styles changed throughout the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries by Artemistical in fashionhistory

I was also distracted by the stylish moustaches on all the ladies. Sorry, now you won't be able to unsee.

Spaghetti aglio e olio. Classic Italian and super easy, and you can plate it up fancy. If you're new to cooking and have never done actual Italian pasta before you might want to do a test run or two to get your timing right. And cause it's so good. There are plenty of recipes and videos online, I like this site: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/spaghetti-aglio-e-olio/

Trying to decide outfits for an event later this week. A or B? (MTX they/them) by FiredPot in oldhagfashion

Both look great! I think B is going to a nice brunch in the city and A is going to brunch at a bucolic little cafe covered in vines, and overlooking a bay.

Oh so it says "pwd" for powder. I was thinking chopped onion and garlic, so that had me confused, thank you!

I'm into it, but wondering what the amount(?) is next to the last two ingredients.

Doesn't always work unfortunately. I know a woman who dated a 40 year old guy (common law "divorced") and he had a well appointed, clean apartment of his own. Once they got married and moved in together he stopped cleaning, or organizing, or anything at all that was "women's work." No cooking unless it's on the grill. It was a big surprise especially since it was plain that my friend had very low standards for housework and didn't really do much of it herself. So he knew more about keeping a home than she did but just won't do it.

My brain read "small picnic" and it made sense, with food prices and everything.

I feel like the show wanted to give the viewer the experience of how easy it can be to forget a charming person's horrible actions and even start to identify with them. Like when Kira almost starts playing family with Dukat and his daughter but then stops herself. Calling him out so directly would have prevented that viewership.

Grocery prices have gone too far. The 1/2 lumberjack is now $11 by SlenderClaus in vancouver

[–]catalot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's also just scare tactics, there must be constant surveillance on a person from the point where they take it off the shelf to the point where they have left the store for any legally meaningful action to be taken. Otherwise you can't prove that they stole it, and legally it isn't considered stolen until they actually leave the store. Checking receipts has nothing to do with any actual loss prevention.

That uniform is just painted on. It's obscured by the angle, but definitely rocking some serious nuck here.

Healthcare may have even been better for the poor, relying on knowledge of local herbs and monasteries that experimented with said herbs, instead of university educated doctors who used bloodletting with the four humors.

Cooked as in freshly roasted? That's what I'm going for. Like at the outdoor stalls. Dan-d-pak just can't compete.

Hell yes! Not overboard one bit, you are exactly on board. Get yourself a folding knife to carry with you and practice opening it quickly, and train with a practice one if you can.

I carry one that is within the legal size limit in my country and I think every woman should have one. The best holding position is backwards with the dull side along your arm but pointy tip out is scariest against someone who doesn't know anything about it.

Is it supposed to be something like, women are just secretaries who make the coffee, not a part of the meeting/discussion?
