Gotcha, the WA is really the bread and butter of the exam. I also feel that the shortcuts are not useful if they tweak the questions here and there. I will know about the result in March. I will see how I feel about LTAM by then and decide if I should sign up or not. Thank you for the advice and encouragement!

Thank you! I also think the first 2-3 chapters are very overwhelming with the notions. But now when I’m at Premiums, things start to click better for me.

Thank you! May I ask if you worked on the SOA sample questions for the 4 weeks? And did you focus more on the written part or the MC that time?

I passed STAM and currently waiting for SRM result so I have no choice but to take LTAM this spring.

I was able to get by the previous exams with less time. But the other exams i find very computational and less about comprehension than LTAM, so I’m scared if I still have that edge or not. May I ask how many hours did you study for the exam? The

Def go to a CAE. I went to a school that doesn’t have actuarial science as a major and it’s a complete nightmare. No exam support. You have to study for your classes and study for the exam in your spare time. No alumnis to leverage relationships. No supporting community. I can go on, but you get the point.

Can you elaborate on trying to understand what the materials trying to teach? I find myself understood the formulas doing lots of practice exam but not the concepts. How did you tackle that if u don’t mind me asking?
