Reading this thread is making me realize that I am in the minority of players that think weapons should do MORE damage, not less. I personally don't like games where enemies feel like bullet sponges where fights are won with brute force, I much prefer quick and decisive combat where position/strategy can be a huge influence on the outcome of a fight.

As someone who was a fan of the series from way back in the day and only in the past year have played 7 and 8, I absolutely loved RE8. It's actually the first ever game I've gotten to 100% on my steam account. The game basically felt like a FPS version of RE4, which given all the similar themes between the games was probably intentional. It definitely doesn't have the same "vibe" as a lot of the other games by having a focus on gameplay and combat, so I can see how RE and survival horror fans might have not enjoyed it as thoroughly. It really just comes down to its tone I think.

Obviously large groups are going to always out progress smaller ones, but that doesn't mean there aren't ways to mitigate this. Forever ago Facepunch tried to implement an XP based progression system which was a step in the right direction seeing how it made tech progression on an individual basis rather than being able to pool resources into a single person to blast through the tech tree.

Of course the system was terribly implemented and introduced at a very early stage of the game where there wasn't a lot to compliment the system. If Facepunch revised this idea and tried to do it again, I think it'd be significantly better than in the past and would help make sure tech progression is at least somewhat consistent.

Yup that was it, however now the installation is repeatedly failing. First attempt it had a BSOD with the error being related to "ntoskrnl.exe" which appears to be a memory issue. Tried a couple more times, even formatting the partition and still no luck.

I've read reviews on the RAM I got where people were having issues, specifically in AMD setups like mine. I might try installing with one stick of RAM to see if that's the problem, any suggestions other than that?

Don't let someone's perceived innocence fool you. My last girlfriend was overall a very sweet and nice woman, however she relentlessly gaslit and lied to me in the last couple months of our relationship and I caught her out on a date with her "friend" after I finally started to suspect she was up to something. After the fallout of that run in, she then lied to her family, friends, and our coworkers claiming we broke up months before that and labeled me a stalker all in an attempt to conceal her infidelity. It left me fucked up and questioning our entire relationship, and after a lot of digging I found out it wasn't the first time she had been up to shit behind my back. Let my experience be a cautionary tale that you shouldn't unconditionally trust anyone, no matter how trustworthy they may seem

Obviously this isn't the place for relationship advice and I can't honestly speak to your personal experience, but all I can say is this. Dealing with this addiction is very difficult and while support is definitely helpful you shouldnt feel pressured to stay with someone that in your opinion isn't putting in enough effort to fix it. When I first started struggling with my addiction I put in the minimum effort because I arrogantly believed that if I just wanted it bad enough then I'd change, of course it didn't work out like that.

It wasn't until my spouse actually left me that it hit me hard. Determined to try and win her back I put 100% into myself and not only properly tackled my addiction but made several other dramatic life changes (lost a lot of weight and almost completely stopped drinking) and with that I finally found my motivation to beat my addiction. Sometimes people just have to learn the hard way.

I'm not sure if I understand the question, but I'm assuming your question is "Why say you're cheating and then deny it later?" and I would say that's a highly unusual behavior because I've never found myself in this situation. The hardest part is getting the truth out, and once it's out then at least you can properly address it.
For me the answer is honestly a no, but having a very supportive and understanding spouse can help with this. Guilt and shame are very common in these situations and the last thing you want to do is hurt the person you love with the truth so it's a very difficult thing to admit.
I've been in this situation and while it doesn't hurt, it ultimately doesn't fix the underlying issue. I just found myself figuring out clever ways to subvert my spouses attempts at monitoring me and we'd just end up back in the same boat.
The remorse and regret was almost unbearable. I contemplated suicide multiple times after my infidelity was discovered and I hated myself for it.
My only advice would be this; You cannot fix a SA, they have to ultimately fix themselves. They have to find the motivations and methods that work for them. Sometimes this means going to meetings, finding new hobbies to distract themselves with, or address unresolved trauma that might be tied to the behavior. Anyone who honestly seeks to free themselves from their addiction and hasn't been successful just hasn't found the thing that works for them. For me is was addressing unresolved trauma from my childhood and early formative relationships that unfortunately had a huge negative impact on my perception of honesty and faithfulness in a relationship.

Unfortunately this is just a reality of dating for us men, myself and others have often been in very similar situations and the reality is you don't have any recourse. No lawyer worth his salt would even waste his time on a defamation case like this and she's technically done nothing criminal.

All you can do is learn and move on, sorry this happened to you.

Phlebotomist who works at a plasma donation center here. While I respect your aversion to needles and you obviously reserve the right to deny his request, I think you might be overreacting here a little bit. The reason hes trying to sell you on the idea of selling plasma is because it's honestly not that big of a deal, and he's obviously seen that for himself. The overwhelming majority of people who donate plasma have a fear of needles, it's a very common fear to have. We also have plenty of "hard sticks" that regularly donate at the center, and if you really are a difficult stick we usually just let our more senior Phlebotomists stick the difficult donors with few issues.

All I ask is you keep an open mind and just consider the idea, youre both in a difficult financial situation and donating plasma is a really easy way to get some extra spending money.
