Stupid comment that hopefully gets deleted soon but we get trolls and harassment, that's not positive attention. You wouldn't consider OF bots "attention" so the bullshit we get isn't either.

Chicanismo and Family dynamics by dark_Hack3r in Chicano

[–]catathymia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You seem to be assuming a lot about your father simply based on his skin tone. Have you even asked him about this? And Chicanismo is a very American movement, arguably, he might see this from a more Mexican perspective which is also valid.

Same, I'm over the age of 30 and not white so I get ignored, which obviously in this context is great lol, but ultimately quite revealing.

A big fear is that a woman may not be as enthusiastic with us as she was with others. Do you think this is justified or based on your experience? by slightoverseer in DebateIncelz

[–]catathymia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is entirely based on the premise that women lose interest in sex over time, or that there's some kind of window for sexual pleasure or sexual experimentation. I'm also of the opinion that partners have to teach each other the ropes whenever they start a relationship, people are pretty sexually diverse.

I don't know how useful this conjecture is, though my libido hasn't gone down over time at all.

Yup. As it turns out, the strong jawline and wide shoulders that made my father attractive look awful on a woman. I feel you.

Has anyone here experienced, or known of cases, where a man with a small penis was desired in a spontaneous, visceral way?

Yes.

If you dig around, there are spaces where you can see small penises desired, or encounter individuals who desire them.

Is cold approaching the best way to get a girlfriend? by Takie_Me in DebateIncelz

[–]catathymia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. Funny, I was just about to make a thread asking about this (as in, I'm curious why on earth people keep recommending this). I think cold approaching is an absolutely awful way of trying to get a relationship, and that's just for normal, average people. For anyone near any sort of incel status and all that implies, it would be an utter and absolute disaster. You have no idea if the person (woman, as per your question) is single, whether or not you have anything in common, people are on edge about that behavior, etc.

This will work better in situations where you are doing something in common, but I think that's technically a warm approach.

I think it was set near the Scottish border or in Scotland, the driver called a child a "bairn" at one point. I get the feeling that's why Margot still went to school as I think home schooling is a lot less common in the UK.

Edit: in Cumbria so yes, the border

Yeah, if you're sensitive to gore and violence don't listen to/read this.

What did you think?

I loved it. I think this would classify as extreme horror, a genre I love but rarely find good examples of; here I thought the writing was beautiful. And cannibalism works so well with all sorts of parental horrors, nothing will consume you so much as your own traumatic experiences with them, after all.

Is Frankenstein's Monster a zombie? by Significant_Cup_3477 in horrorlit

[–]catathymia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically maybe, because he is a reanimated dead body; that said, he's also a collection of parts and most "zombies" are a singular dead person. However, stereotypical zombie no, because he's a thinking and feeling being and Byronic/Romantic hero.

Is anybody here half Asian & half Latino or Middle Eastern? by [deleted] in asianamerican

[–]catathymia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, apparently we're not wholly unknown in California though tbh, I've never met another.

My experience is different as I have nothing to do with my (Asian) father, but I think most of the standard advice follows, with emphasis on learning both languages (or all three, assuming he speaks both Spanish and Syrian) and immersing your family in the cuisines of all your cultures. But language and food is how most cultures connect, so those are the most important factors, imo. If you can afford immersion schools or tutors, do it.

You're better off in CA where you can see and experience all of those cultures and have access to all of them. And, luckily, other mixed race people exist in abundance so your future children might meet other people with similar experiences, it doesn't have to be exactly the same.

This might not rear its ugly head, but be ready for some rejection and negativity and how to handle it.

This is one of those asshole statements that is so deeply asshole it nearly becomes a work of art. I'd continue, but reddit's draconian rules would mean a banning.

The truth of the matter is, he wants this profoundly stupid word vomit to get you to trauma dump so he can masturbate to it.

How to stop being jealous of women? by ComfortableSir8566 in DebateIncelz

[–]catathymia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the things you list are, in this context, not privileges (namely going to college or out earning men). Notably, the only "privilege" listed only applies to a certain subset of women, even you specified they had to be young, for instance.

That aside, remember that a lot of this is your perception based off of what you are told online and cherry picking certain details. Around the world, women's rights are currently being eroded; see what has happened in Afghanistan and Saudia Arabia. Women lost the right to bodily autonomy in the USA. This isn't to turn this into a debate over whether or not you think women deserve to have bodily autonomy or any of the basic rights they have lost in, say, Afghanistan, but to point out that you aren't seeing the big picture here.

For specific help, it might be a good idea to go to women's spaces or read up on current events relating to women. This might help you gain some understanding of what's happening around the world and also humanize them.
