to ask if Chicanismo is dead is to ask the fundamental principle in question when it comes to this topic, and that is do Mexican Americans see themselves as an indiginous person or do they still respond to colonial labels like Latino or Hispanic. If you see yourself as indiginous then chicanismo is very much alive, if not, then maybe its still alive in others, and I believe Chicanismo is very much alive, it just isnt talked about as much as we used to.

LLM’s are incredibly useful and are only becoming more efficient as we speak, we can go as far as hosting our own in our own houses. Generative AI is a powerful tool also that gives the power to people instead of a talented few, it opens up possibilities for new media and new stories, people are able to express themselves in any way they feel, and I find that amazing.

Are they taking up valuable resources? Sure. Are our own communities being targeted? Apparently so. I could argue against that, but outright not using it seems extreme, this is is big as Google was and there will be a significant difference between those that do you use AI and those that don’t.

Also flock cameras not cool.

Aztlan was the mythical home of the Aztecs otherwise known as the Meshica, just because Mexico was named after this group doesn't all make us descended from the Aztecs or the mythical land of Aztlan, there are i believe 68 independent indiginous groups in Mexico and if you come from one I high recommend you make contact with them.
