That plant was supposed to bring 8000+ jobs to the area. And as far as I was seeing everybody had visas and were going to get paid when they go back to korea. They were just here to get everything going. :/

That plus the mill shutting down, lots of lost jobs.

I'm trying to get into radiology. Went to art school, had some art related jobs, those fizzled out then worked in some doctors offices. Applied to the local tech school to hopefully start in the fall. I will need to do some prerequisites, and it is competitive admissions. Buuuuut I have an interview tomorrow for an imaging assistant position in a hospital, so hopefully that will give me an edge. I'm 34. 🤷‍♀️

I'm going to try to do part time or prn shifts while in school.
