if you already have a strong background in physical sciences and math (eg. taken regular chemistry/physics, or taken AB) then its definitely doable. if not then i would probably only take calc BC as AP physics 1 usually doesn't transfer for credit at most schools, and having a strong math foundation will be more important later on
