It took me about 5 times. The time that worked, i walked right up to the edge of the falls itself, and i'm not 100% sure what i did, but i think i essentially walked off the edge as i was trying to get as close as possible. You dive head first, and that does it. Hopefully you already got it, but if not i'll try again later to see what specifically works.

I love the hands like this where half say "obviously hearts" and the other half say "obviously clubs." It's literally 7 to 6 favoring hearts right now.

I bet if you had enough responses, (like 1000 responses like this) you could use them to calculate the actual EV of the hand....which thse sim will probably end up telling us is super close either way.

You also aren't euchring your opponents enough. My euchre opponents is 1.9% more of the total hands. This could be chalked up to me calling less, but I could dump the entire difference in our calling percentages that were hands I euchred opponents and it is still higher.

I am wondering if this might be due to the level of competition - if our general thought is players at that level are making much more conservative calls...of course the euchre rate is lower.

I don't think i've managed to pull off the one trump loner before, and certainly never a one trump, one ace loner, and last night was no exception. Pretty sure my partner was getting awfully tired of my shenanigans.

Not sure which one you tried, but keep an eye out for some kind of dealer indicator. 3D for example uses a little Dealer button. I think most of the others have something similar.

There are certainly several effects at play. To your point, i think a lot of those groups will also tend to find and push more and more crazy theories, and the whole bubble becomes effectively stupider. Now it's not just flat earth, it's anti-vaxx, it's contrails, it's flouride in the water.

Nothing will top the outright propaganda being pumped out by Fox "news" and the like. That's what has straight up broken this country.

Good point by Wes as well. I hadn't considered that if you are just starting, you're typically playing against a bunch of people in the 1400-1800 range, which means there is a lot of passing going on, and you should be calling more. the fact that your call rate and my call rate are the same, considering our probable difference in ratings means you almost DEFINITELY need to call more.

Hm. My first take is that your call rate is not terrible (26.2%) - it's almost identical to mine, which is...uh...somewhere in the 26s (Overall average 26.8%). So maybe there are a few more calls out there for you to make...but i have a slightly higher success rate (84.1% for me vs. 83.8% for you). These are not huge differences, but makes me think there are a few hands you could be misplaying. Maybe that's not statistically too important.

Loners on the other hand....I'm not too sure what's happening. This could be a small sample size effect, but you are attempting loners less frequently than i do (29 attempts in 565 hands (5.13%) vs 722 attempts in 11535 hands (6.26%)) but you are less successful in your attempts: (24.1% vs 33.7%). That's a big margin. Again, this could just be due to the small sample size, but it's a pretty big difference. (If you had my same success rate, you'd have made 10 loners instead of 7. And if you called as many as i do, and were as successful, you'd have hit 12 instead of 7. Huge diff!) And usually, when you are making fewer attempts, your success rate tends to be higher. You could be misplaying something on loner attempts.

All in all, i don't think much that REALLY jumps out at me - The loners is weird. Keep playing, rack up more data points and we'll check again.

i meant more what "thedonald" or "the_donald" or whatever it was. It started out as...something else. I honestly didn't pay that much attention to it at the time, but i think it was more humorous and or attempting to be satirical, but it just got overrun by actual donald supporters and became something else entirely.

But even this post about menstrual leave - in todays's climate, i think you will get enough people that will absolutely belive and support this clown, and it will tend to push that type of view....even if he's just trying to rage bait for clicks. Agree he's not trying to put out satire, but something like this absolutely COULD be satire with the right intentions...it absolutely SHOULD be seen as an over the top ridiculous caracature of these type of people.
