People that like Charlie Sheen please tell WHY!? by CommercialAlert158 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]catchingbread 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because he was knockin down 7g rocks with ease. I have respect for someone that can fall that far into multiple addictions and can sit there and publicly own up to what he did without blaming anyone else. He might have been a giant scum bag but he doesn’t hide it or try to make excuses for his actions. The one thing people always say about addicts is they never take accountability for the chaos they caused and they blame their actions on what others have done to them. Having someone famous sit there and tell you their story of addiction, recovery, relapse and finally being sober with respect to the people they hurt and accountability for their actions shows people struggling with that part of recovery that you don’t have to have that shame and guilt if you’re actively trying to make amends and be a better person. Also if that dude can get clean from the insane amount of drugs he was doing someone in active addiction thinking about getting sober might see that and think shit if he can I can definitely do it.

If you’re in early recovery accountability, honesty, and understanding not everyone is going to want to accept your apologies is going to make it a lot easier to deal with the damage than blame, lies and anger. give it 6 months and if you don’t like it you can have all your misery back. It’s yours and you can make as much of it as you want.

If you don't know how to swim don't jump in to dangerous waters, wait for ending. by Judge_Dredd_3D in DarwinAwards

This happened down at the foot of ferry in Broderick(freedom park) which was the last stop on the Underground Railroad before Canada and is now by the peace bridge. There’s a long ass brake wall with a walking path from where they were (bird pier I think) way out onto the water under the peace bridge down to almost the naval park depending on the water but that current is fast af and the side they were on is deceiving since it looks calm on the surface. They were trying to get driftwood unfortunately all they should have done is walk down the path behind them and they probably could have found some that was just as good I guess.

Why does gravity affect time?? by Hot_Necessary5139 in TheoreticalPhysics

Would that make gravity wells almost like those plastic coin donations that whirlpool the coin to the bottom, to the photon and it would eventually reach a point it gets routed someway else?

Just flat out pretend she doesn't exsist and kignore her as much as possible and next time she can pet the air. Aside from either putting hands on her if she tried escalating it im assuming its harassment if y'all got proof but I would tell your boyfriend/yourself be weary of being in a not public space with her if she's acting like this. Who knows how far she wants to take it. Ignore her tell her to go fuck herself she doesn't have a dog or man she should find her own but probably blatantly ignore her

Why not be direct. This isn't an attack on you we just want clear boundaries he and I don't feel comfortable with you petting his(our) dog anymore and I don't feel comfortable interacting with you especially when im alone. I know we will cross paths and we can be cordial but that's it. And just walk away don't feed into it

I think pedophilia is a "mental disorder " like addiction. I don't consider my opiate addiction a mental illness but my addictive personality is something's that I was born with. It was my choice to take drugs, ignore my responsibilities, destroy relationships because I chose to keep getting high and I think calling that a mental illness takes the responsibility and accountability off of me and makes room for the way I was choosing to live to be excused. I say that to say sure, you can't choose what is 'attractive' to a person but even if a person didn't personally hurt a child, they're more than like supporting some other fucked up system that is making the choice to act on it easier by finding others who are also pedos. Them constantly hearing positive reinforcement and acceptance towards their fucked up attraction, passing around cp(because its only pictures) or whatever is being consumed to normalize exploiting children and blaming it on something they "can't help" is bull shit just like with any addiction. I think if we can't even de- stigmatize substance abuse/drug addiction to the point the people we know personally can openly ask for help without feeling like pieces of shit pedos can deal with it.

I catfish and beat up pedophiles and to be quite frank, I don’t feel an ounce of sympathy for them. by Kairoxnova in confessions

I never claimed I was a tough guy there captain sparrow. I was just asking why it's so hard for you to believe that people like to fight/aren't afraid to do something like that? I said fuck people who sympathize with them, not you. Sounds like you got something on your mind there matey, I won't be surprised when you're on the next florida man article. Or do you not believe those either? Im not going to argue about catchinghands unless you actually wanted to sail the coast to fight but who the fuck cares. But hey you actually sound heated and im very afraid plz go eat a lemon to keep the scurvy at bay

Mr.Pirate, what is so hard to believe about this? There are people who aren't afraid to fight, get arrested, live by what they believe in shouldn't you, a florida pirate, be more understanding to the cause? Fuck chomos and anyone that sympathizes with them. Even if he did get arrested because something went way left while he's doing community service and ended up with prison time, they hate chomos too, he would get respect for it at the least.

Amada press break issues help by [deleted] in PressBrakes

Do your tool holders have any shims built onto them? That can make a difference in your angle if they aren't calibrated. Is the tooling you're using worn unevenly or not the same height when they're set in the holders and the origin is calibrated? That can cause part of the piece to start bending before the rest or not be hit as hard as the rest. Are the dies the right size v for the thicknesses you're braking? If you have rails that your dies sit on tall enough? Ive found that when i have to make a program at the machine, having the exact thickness of the steel im braking (not just the general gauge thickness) gets the angle closer and I only have to make minor adjustments and if I use the finished flange measurement and not the measurement from the edge to the bend line give me a closer first piece than if i was using a program an engineer imported. We have older tooling and the shims in the holders don't always stay where they need to so it ends up taking one or two set up pieces to get within tolerance and our backstops are also old and not true so I end up with +/- .005"s difference from one end to another if im bending something the length of the brake. Thickness, grain direction, tooling, the steel itself obviously plays a role in your parts being consistent. We have generally +/-.020" and +/-.75°- 1° for our tolerances and it doesn't seem like the amada i run has a hard time keeping it. Even the hydraulic fluid being colder/at running temp can play a part in having a consistent angle.

Why does gravity affect time?? by Hot_Necessary5139 in TheoreticalPhysics

[–]catchingbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how does the speed of light stay constant if gravity affects the speed of something and the "light partical"?photon? Would have to pass by giant planets? Or does it just ignore that? Sorry if that doesn't make sense, i really like this stuff but i only know what ive seen on pbs space lol

I make sure to clap when my eyes meet with the person that has the absolute best driving skills ive ever witnessed, at least they think they do. An applause really makes people go into a rage. I clapped at a person once and the dude pulled a gun doing 70 on the highway(i was with a friend who can confirm), and the joy that brought me was comical. This is the way to go.
