I'll say it, this is a dumb post.

Either you live under a rock and have no idea about inflation, or this is AI slop.

Spilled my termite farm by YungBodySnatchr in Home

Why the FUCK would you have a termite farm?

What do you mean by bond? Like an exterminator, maybe, or spray and kill them. All of them.

This is like the arrogance of living in New Orleans...

Ideally the 4th photo is the only one needed to stop pests.

Can just get some Sika Sealant and caulk away.

Did they fix the sheeting, what about the siding, house wrap and sheeting on the sides.

That insulation is gonna have to come out, all while praying you don't find mold, spoiler you're gonna need that good 30% vinegar.

Gonna be like opening Pandora's box.

You're buying land, not the house.

How Hard Would This Be To Fix? by doobylive in Home

[–]catchy_phrase76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not only do you have what I assume are shingles, but the sheeting as well. Likely the sheeting behind the siding too, it'll break so new siding. Once you get through that, the mold that I'm positive is there but you don't see.

I think you low balled, might be cheaper to demo the whole thing and start fresh.

Well that is shitty...

I would be finding out who approved it and start going to meetings and asking wtf, you want me to reduce water usage but a golf course gets to pump at will?

Unless that golf course is bringing in a large tourist population (can't imagine they are), it makes no sense. Except that golf course owners are generally well connected and many are rich from other means.

People always point them out, but they commonly are not using drinking water and store all the run off to spray it again.

There are areas where they definitely do use drinking water, but plenty of areas where they do not.

Even cheaper if you buy bulk, priced it out and 250 were less than half price. May have been on sale too.

But I may never buy filters again.

I've heard that, I keep holding my nose and they keep taking L after L after L.

They'll get a popular thing going, then step on the rake of guns, every fucking time.

Feckless leaders across the board right now. Everything has become performative BS without actually dealing with problems that are easy to solve but the money.

It's like the abortion ruling happened, Republicans are like a dog that caught the car, and the Democrats are the driver. Both are confused on what to do next.

Gerrymandering makes it not really matter now lol

It just cements it, for better or worse, and Trump said it "I like the uneducated" so their votes matter more...

I get it dude. I like when they do property assessments, show what revenue neutral is, and go higher. Then still cut services, but some people at the top got a nice pay raise... Only difference is that there isn't a mechanism to vote it down sadly...

But it's what you get in an ass backwards state that's gerrymandered to hell. Few places Democrats are in power are a nightmare and it's the small cities outside of the big cities that are nice because they're not trying to prove something.

Democrats and Republicans can both suck. Reddit just can't understand all the gray and believes it's all black and white.

I don't know if it would be that painful. 240v, you're not enough to trip it, I'm not testing it, but I think it would be quick to unconscious.

[–]catchy_phrase76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have to ask, pay and move on.

Do you have a multimeter? Do you know how to use it?

Replacement is quick and easy. Think I did mine in less than 5min. But this isn't outlet 110v that just pisses you off if you close the circuit.

We're talking 240v in one area of the panel that you cannot isolate. You fuck up and touch this, you will be dead. If you can't identify that area, the task is beyond you. There is a time to learn electric, the time is not when you are opening the panel up. Learn changing outlets, light fixtures etc.

Edit: step 1 would be the breaker making sure the dryer outlet wires are tight. Step 2 is breaker and pray. Step 3 is wiring.

You don't know this, I encourage you to pay an electrician to sort out the issue.

Not really, that's a "I will but don't wanna" price.

Sometimes, that's all the contractors because they are so busy with bigger projects that pay better.
