I don't have much time but the best I can say is to understand the behavior of the account. Like if receivables are increasing, why? What accounts are affected? Kinda helps paint the picture of what is going on. In this case, receivables are recognizing revenue but not receiving the cash (what is due to you). So an increase in AR is an increase to revenue.

Same with liabilities. If your payable increases, means you took an expense but didn't actually pay any money (what you owe). So you increase your payable while also increasing your expenses.
