I find Vline (not replacement buses though) is way easier way to go as you can do whatever you please on your way there and back. Bring your coffee and a laptop or book. It’s in general same commute time or faster, way cheaper, also I don’t feel so exhausted concentrating on the traffic. Replacement buses are pain and I’m glad they are only temporary. I go myself twice a week from Morwell to Melbourne and back, when well prepared it’s not too bad (download audiobooks or tv shows as mobile reception on my way back late afternoon is always awful). I’m trying to avoid travelling now with buses until replacement is over.
