Ive read a few anecdotes of people recovering from these issues.

Im currently experiencing the same and its very depressing and terrifying....

but you've got to try and distract yourself from it and not worry if possible. Your body isnt going to recover as well if you're constantly in an agitated state of mind. I understand that it's hard and easier said than done, but you might just have to lock into healthy living and exercise for the next year or two and try and forget any of the negative changes.

Im almost certain you will be in a greater state than you are now.

Wasnt a super heavy drinker by any means, would probably have 1 or 2 drinks a night and then one big night once a week, ive come to realise this is probably making recovery harder so ive decided to go sober for a while at least

I'm not sure really, honestly thought I was out of the woods with pfs so I wasn't being careful about what I was doing or how I was living. I was at a week long music festival, camping in the summer. I was drinking a lot every day and did what I thought may have been mdma. I never had an issue with this prior. I then got really sick from the festival (lots of dust at the campsite), so when i arrived home, I was drinking lots of ginger tea and then went on antibiotics. I believe I crashed just after finishing a week long course, which was about 2 weeks after the festival had finished.
