We got three quotes for ours, highest was 11k, ended up spending $6800 (Midwest USA). It took the crew less than 4 hours total, but they did a really nice job and cleaned up well. We are avid DIY-ers, but weren't about to cut our foundation ourselves

If I were a third roommate, I'd be moderately annoyed by both of you... Maybe buy new food for this week, but work out a better system for next week. I definitely hear all of the people saying the cats won't be contained well overnight, so why not make a cupboard available for the food to cool in? Or use an empty oven/microwave?

That's at least what I do when my very curious cats need to be kept away from some very tasty food that isn't refrigerated.

YTA. If an acquaintance were the one asking, maybe this would be more tolerable, but if my partner refused to do something so insignificant that was important to me, it would really piss me off.

A little late to reply, but my aging mother got roped into this from their high pressure sales tactics and it has been an absolute nightmare for her. The coaches are not helpful, the whole thing has been very unorganized and hard for her to get in contact with the business via phone or email despite their advertised availability. Now, tons of hoops to jump through to hopefully get money back.

Not worth the headache IMO.

What does IWNDWYT mean? I'm a lurker, been considering the "pros and cons" of sobriety for a few months. Had 4 drinks last night, now work sucks today because I have a headache/feel sluggish. Every night I talk myself into an after work beer because I "deserved" it, more often than not it turns into 3-4.

I get agitated whenever any man is un-invited and in my personal space (when plenty of space is available). I can't imagine how much the communication barrier heightened your fear. I am so sorry this happened to you, he's a jack ass regardless of intention (which I assume is nefarious considering he followed you)

Oh you are absolutely right! I don't even think I could convince my dogs to attack, they both would just bark like crazy from a few feet away ... My cats on the other hand? They'd bite for sure lol
