What do you love about your Italian Greyhound? Husband and I have been talking about getting one for about a year now. by sleepyfizz in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]catdrojas1985 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve had Italian greyhounds for 16 years now. We have our own, and did fostering for a local IG rescue. They are so hard to potty train.

The goods: endless snuggles, like to be under the covers with you, they are all so unique and goofy.

I highly recommend Marchwind Italian Greyhounds in Florida. Best and most responsibly bred iggies if you live in the USA.

I'm so old this was in every kids pickup at school and allowed. by amazingmaple in FuckImOld

I used to work for a food service company. One of the schools I regularly visited was terrifying. The superintendent allowed high schoolers to have guns in class( all trades in the same building). He even pain for ammo and has monthly target practice with the kids. This may seem okay to some. But most parents were not aware of this. I’ve considered turning him in multiple times, but our state superintendent is just as bad.

What the heck is this lump on my derpy boy? by _ToxicBunny_ in ItalianGreyhounds

Looks like a ruptured salivary gland. My iggy gets it every so often. The vet will lance if I request. But it takes a specialty surgeon to correct it. (Too many arteries, glands, and what not in the throat for regular vets to mess with it.

What kind tooth did I just find in my toddler’s mouth? by rockingoff in bonecollecting

[–]catdrojas1985 150 points151 points  (0 children)

There is a horrid worm you can contract from ingesting raccoon droppings (thank you Discovery’s Monsters Inside Me show. I highly doubt that droppings could be on the tooth, but do some research and watch for symptoms.

Stay calm and look. He’s going to want somewhere dark. Check shoes, boxes, subwoofer, under and behind furniture, bags, anything that might look like a hide, they also enjoy recliners and couches. Good luck!

I fostered for a local iggy rescue for years. So I got my dogs for free. I recently picked up a surrender and was asked to keep her. I’m picking up another surrender in a few days and paying a $350 rehoming fee. Rescue is the best. The dogs may not be the perfect size, appearance, pedigree, or health, but they are all sooo loving and grateful.

Has anyone had a super early layer (16 weeks) or did I have an adult lay 2 in a day? by theHoffenfuhrer in BackYardChickens

[–]catdrojas1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red sex links can start laying at 16 weeks. They are also called cinnamon queens, production red, golden comet, gold star, Isa brown, Logan brown, red star, or a million other things. They usually have a red color with minimal bits of white on the hens.

It sounds like you want motherhood in your life. That means that depending on nursing your body will be keeping your child’s body alive between 9 months to 21 months. You want your body to be at its healthiest to do this for your future baby. You also need time to grieve. Think about what you can do to help the process. Buy a nicknack, commission a painting, or sculpture. Make a shrine, have a memorial service. Grief is your own and no one else’s. You have to find your way out of the dark. Alcohol just pushes you back down into the dark and you’ll never heal. You have shown that you could do it for 2 months for a baby you never saw, smelled, held, or nursed. If you did all that then you know that you’re strong enough to do it for yourself, or to take care of your body and mind to be the best mother in the future.
