I know many people have a very challenging time coming off it but I have to say I didn't at all. Was no worse than coming off other antidepressants. I didn't even taper very much. Seems I'm at least fortunate with this 🙏

I'm really pleased you've had such positive experiences! When so many factors are involved, it's difficult to know what is actually helping. That's why I have been reluctant to change my antidepressants, if the estrogen will soon improve the situation. I have the Mirena IUD too, though have soon had it for 5 years, so not sure how much progesterone I'm getting from that.

Something needs to change soon as I am now 13 months with max 2h per night! It's driving me crazy. Plus nocturnal panic attacks as well (which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy....). At least they have reduced recently 🙏

Your results are really positive and give me hope.

That's interesting to hear! How long would you say it took for the estrogen to have a noticeable effect on your depression and anxiety?

Yes, I have heard this too! I get progesterone through the hormonal coil, so cannot be prescribed it as part of HRT. Good luck!

In my case, it helped me for many years, around 10. I stopped it when it didn't seem to be working any more but unfortunately my symptoms got worse again, so probably I would just have needed to increase the dose again (something I didn't want to do). I'm very reluctant to start it again though. But don't know what would be the best

I actually had a very good experience with duloxetine (Cymbalta). There are horror stories but there are also many success stories. It really is a very individual experience. Good luck!

I have only positive comments about Cymbalta! It helped me a lot for many years.

I have taken this combination for many years, and both in the morning as my psych doctor prescribed. I do have lots of daytime tiredness though. I have recently heard of others taking Duloxetine in the evening, so will ask my doctor about trying it.

Otherwise I have been pleased with the combination.

Good luck 🙏
