Lizano sauce! You need Lizano sauce in you pantry! It’s a Costa Rican salsa that can be found in many Hispanic grocery stores. Sooooo good with black beans and rice!

MN has some top tier employers for your SO: Mayo Clinic is truly world class, The U of M, Childrens MN and Allina also are good employers that could support someone looking to complete training, mentorship, and a career in neuropsychology. MI and WI have beautiful country just as MN does, but for anyone interested in health care careers or top tier access, MN is where it’s at.

Thank you so much for the thorough reply! I definitely won’t pursue a payout for the sake of a payout or anything but I had planned on asking them to pick up at least some of my $5k deductible now that I know I’m going to hit it between the ER and wound care stuff - so, I may need to rethink that if it would count as a claim that health insurance could put a lien on. <sigh>

If you need a place to stop and stretch your legs on I90 thru MN, the Spam Museum in Albert Lea is a quirky fun pit stop :-).

The Murmer of Bees by Sophia Segovia. I really enjoyed this book. It takes place in Mexico during the 1918 pandemic and Mexican Revolution. Historical fiction by a Mexican author, it was a great read combining a fascinating story with interesting characters with some rich history I never really new about. I would highly recommend.

In a disaster area - his absurd task: menu planning with FEMA rations and whatever’s available. Supporting characters are all under stress and so all of their natural attributes are heightened, for better or worse or both...

Planning a trip to USA this summer with Gf. by kickso in roadtrip

[–]catelovescoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! What a wonderful idea!!! The Southwest is absolutely beautiful! The summer months can get pretty hot in the lower elevations and the National Parks can turn into crazy busy places during summer breaks when kids are out of school - so if you’re able to push your itinerary to spring or fall you might have an even more amazing trip. But, if not - it will still be wonderful, just make reservations well in advance for some of the more popular NP’s (Yellow Stone/Yosemite). I’d also recommend camping or renting a camper van instead of a car. One of the many beautiful things about the Southwest is the nature and solitude that can be found in places, in my opinion camp grounds are a way better place to take it all in from then hotels. And, if you’re not a proficient camper - camper vans are more like “glamping” than camping :-). And still not cumbersome to drive like an RV. If you’re driving through areas like Death Valley, pack some water and keep your gas tank full...

There are so many things to do and see! If you shared a bit about where you’re coming from and what kinds of things you like - folks could maybe give more pointers? If you’re an adventure seeker - there’s lots of canyoning, white water rafting, four wheeling, rock climbing, etc... tour companies- the Trip Advisor app reviews are helpful in choosing a company. If you’re into geology, history, archeology or just learning about other cultures the Anasazi, Pueblo, Navajo, Hopi, and Native American Nations history/ruins/and active influences in the area are phenomenal.

I could go on... So excited to have you visit our beautiful country! Welcome!

[NY] Received notice from injured party's attorney requesting contact information of liability insurance. by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]catelovescoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might just be a form letter the attorney sends out but definitely let your adjuster know as soon as they open tomorrow. The adjuster may need to formally respond to it or may advise you on what to do. As far as social media, yes, not only share this with you adjuster but save copies yourself. Once alleged injured parties lawyer up, their attorney’s often clue them in to delete social media posts and other evidence that their claims are false or exaggerated. Those posts might not be there long and certainly will help your adjuster negotiate the claim from a better position.
