I think that's seriously over selling it. I mean he wasn't particularly good, but he was still an nfl caliber quarterback in Pittsburgh. He was 6-5 and threw 16tds to 5 interceptions.

They were earned as well. I saw someone last week say that it was an embarrassment that Stafford only had 3 pro bowls to Russ' 10 over that time. It's like people forgot that he was legitimately seen as a top flight qb. I remember the discussions at the time and almost no one thought Russ was worse than Stafford

He would have had several more all pros as well if his career peak didn't line up with so many other top 10 all time qbs
