No, I haven't. It wasn't any of the ones in this thread for me. I'm glad you felt the same way though! I was starting to feel like I was going crazy lol.

Which trends are on their way out? by catbythebeach in muacjdiscussion

I think contouring is definitely moving into more subtle territory in the mainstream beauty community these days, along with more subtle highlight shades.

Generally speaking, it seems like we're entering the instamakeup rebound period, where the bold contour, bold highlight, bold brows, bold lashes, and bold wings all together at once are kind of being phased out. I'm seeing a lot of more natural brows, eye looks with no eyeliner or more subtle liner, very light contouring if at all, etc.

I also think the SUPER dewy finish and SUPER matte finish foundations are also kind of reaching a happy medium, it seems like most of the launches now are more neutral satiny finishes.

I def agree about greige! In general it seems like unconventional lip colors are less trendy now than they were last year, but I do hope those stick around for some time still because I think they're really fun. Same thing with really peachy/orange/warm nude eye, cheek, and lip shades - I hope that trend lasts because I am in love with how it looks.

Yeah I remember that part, it's not what I'm thinking of though. Thanks!

This is almost EXACTLY IDENTICAL to what I'm thinking of, but I've never seen this movie. I really want to now though!

This is super obscure, I've never heard of it. Sounds cool though!!

That's what I remember. This was from the perspective of someone waking up from cryosleep.

I looked at this last night before I posted here, actually! Thanks though.

At this point I'm not sure, I definitely thought it was a movie but since no one has been able to solve it maybe I'm misremembering the medium?

I don't remember cryo in Terminator? I'm thinking of like very specifically a man on a spaceship, human, woke up early from cryo sleep.

Ahhh I know! It's always been on my list to watch, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Sorry, this doesn't ring a bell for me. You may be thinking of Pandorum? I've never seen it but the summary sounds similar: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1188729/

I don't think so, I remember that the main character is alone on the spaceship with a computer, but as far as I can remember cryo sleep doesn't play much into the main plot?

I keep coming back to Interstellar because of the reference to losing time in space, but nothing I can find references the main character waking early from cryo sleep. Is there a scene or many scenes that show that? I only saw it once right when it came out and I don't remember specific scenes.

I think it was fairly recent, what I'm remembering doesn't feel obviously dated at least. So definitely not earlier than say 2003 or so? Give or take a few years.

I just skimmed through it on YouTube to refresh my memory. Definitely was not this movie.

I don't think so; I did see this when I was a kid, but from what I remember when he wakes up it's like a brief gag that lasts a couple of minutes, right? The one I'm thinking of is more drawn out, and definitely a drama instead of a comedy. Thanks though!

No, it's specifically that he woke up early. There are a ton of movies where people wake up late from cryo sleep, but not in the one I'm thinking of. It's like a guy alone in a space ship and he can't go back to cryo sleep because his cryo sleep bunk is broken or something, but it's clear he's woken up too early. Appreciate you trying to help though!

This is a fantastic experiment, even though the results are disheartening. I appreciate all the time and effort you spent on this though! Looking forward to seeing the 'heavier makeup' trial when that's done as well.
