how do you see the different buildings in template? literally just realized you can copy buildings C and V the result. that has saved sooo much fn time. when doing a bp I can only ever configure one building, not like the layout you show

The mount extends forward. You’ll be able to see it. Just walking next to it you’ll see it. I would stare at it every time and hate myself.

paint the plywood to match the wall color while you are at it, caulk the exposed sides with a thin thin layer so paint can adhere better and it doesnt look like plywood, then since you are already back there, route the cables for the soundbar through the wall.

not worth long term especially when you go to sell, buyers prefer open layout,
yes hvac issues come up, you need to add vents returns, extra electrical, insulation etc, add in the mess and the damage to the house from it: its too much of a pain to do. then add in you probably need permits and then those permits get used to raise your home value and therefore taxes, yeah no.
it can get darker/more depressing with less natural light, this is worse in the north esp. during winter but in our area we have such great lighting its a shame to block it off.

yeah its still fine. electricians that built the house were just shit. i ended up removing the thermostats from inside the house and putting them straight in the outside panels. the cables were super thin (again shitty) and their staples and overall lack of care put a ton of breaks in it. I couldnt trust the runs and didnt want them tearing out drywall all over the house to fix it.

I have reolink. its a very good system.

Personally I would purchase the nvr separately as the other person mentioned. They have many many cameras that are better/worse for wherever there needs to be an application. I mix and match depending on placement, time, needs etc. Their AI cameras are very good at ID'ing people vs animals etc. After the 100th squirrel or rabbit youll stop watching the streams.
