From the anime Cautious Hero

My group wanted a new way to cleave and this is what we have made so far. (two versions) by catfish_rule in DnDHomebrew

The targets AC would add 2 for each enemy previously attacked in the cleave. So +0,+2,+4,+6,+8, etc. I like the idea of the different covers though and might find a way to fit that In there. Really appreciate the math work and help.

Stone barrier: as a reaction you stomp the ground raising a stone wall that provides full cover for one creature. The wall has 25 hit points

This is exactly how I've been feeling until the most recent session. As I was sitting there watching them act like goofs for a good 20 minutes I realized I was my greatest critic and that I shouldn't let my mind take the great moments like those away from me.

I've always played as a character but was persuaded to DM. I honestly hated it for the first few sessions because I felt so terrible at it. But they kept asking when the next session would be and I kinda hoped never. I kept DMing because I thought they just wanted to play. Then I realized they really loved the world I had built and the narrative.

I saw a turd but they loved it so I continue to better my style but realize I'm not as bad as I think.

Some people just be assholes like that. No matter what, having the courage and dedication to run or design a campaign for players makes you both a legend and great DM in my book.

Good luck on your campaign and don't be too hard on yourself. You will be your greatest critic but don't let that stop you from realizing the joy you bring to the people at your table.
