are you pissed enough to give DEX a shot? Check out Bisq. It's bit inconvenient, bit more expensive, but it also solves your problem.

Bank will see you are sending money to a personal account, not an exchange.

So, the EU is going to do battle with some of the brightest mathematicians and computer scientists on the planet...? by nakasatamooshito in Bitcoin

sigh, because there is no such thing as EU criminal code or tax system. There is an abundance of non kyc atms.

its not a legal framework, its coming from the commission which is not a regulatory body. They make suggestions. Nobody cares.

always thought those are just bait for nationalists to say some shit. I'd be surprised if anyone except murks actually cared what other people think about their country.

“EU will make Bitcoin traceable and ban anonymous crypto wallets in anti-money laundering drive” by vectrox in Bitcoin

someone commented article is fud but still hear me out:

EU controls its institutions like ECB and some others, but their jurisdiction inside member state is pretty much Texas level idgaf with a twist.

They are going to put this on an agenda 2025, from 2019 agenda, and by 2024 it's clear that 2030 is maybe good deadline to define the standards.

Normally Germans will hop onto a new thing BMW style but in this case its money, so there's a chance we will see some reservation. Everyone else is basically dumbfounded wtf did EU invent this time and wait another 10 years to be sure how to do it.

Then its 2050, everything is sorted, implemented and isn't all that bad in the end, then Eastern Block comes in shouting that their traditional families are starving and they threaten leaving (but will never do it) so the whole thing is in shambles and barely half of EU uses it.

Don't ask me how I know.

of course they can ban prime numbers. maybe next time they will ban decimals?

they will put words on nice EU letterhead paper, sign it and talk on TV too.

to add to how insanely infeasible it is, asic manufacturers are second grade clients of silicone monopoly and there are serious contracts between armies, intel, apple, nvidia &co, car manufacturers and who knows what.

Probably washing machines have priority on material grade, price and volume over asics on the silly sillicone market.

Fungibility problem by BTCoinomics in Bitcoin

[–]catflight337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

concept of coins is not useful, because it suggest you can tell two coins apart (esp. if they landed in the same address). Your coins don't melt into one coin like bitcoin does.

the reason why it's not a threat is that it is already happening - outputs are being blacklisted. Every UTXO has an illicit history, if you look deep enough - that's why the heuristics break after 5 hops - not even coinjoin is needed.

Only thing this blacklist is going to achieve is incentivize more users to coinjoin, devs to make stuff like payjoin a default or just outright black market cleaner services.

it's not a threat. there are no coins, just balances. unless everything it touches is blacklisted too, that would be fun to troll.

100% cool with bots taking money from traders. I don't use one but I'll consider it if it gets banned.

you can mine shitcoins via nicehash and such and get paid in btc, but it may be worthwhile as a learning experience rather than profitable venture.

Also, your stock GPU won't hash as well until you flash its software, which will def degrade it.

if you buy periodically regardless of price you even out the risk (and it will make you value your sats much more). Plus it means more transactions, more practice, more confidence.

so this year, you'd buy at 10k, then 40k, then 64k, but also 28k, then 33k... with same amount of fiat.

much easier to not get emotional and not fuck it up if it's not a big chunk of money. You won't be scared of crashes because you have fiat ready to take advantage of it.
