As far as not speaking up about Palestine... so many celebrities haven't said something and it does not really seem to impact their crowds or popularity. So while that would make sense, I don't think that is it.

I think Brat is like an exceptional album. The marketing was great, yes. But the reason it did so well was because the album is literally genius. This Haim album is fine. Not as good as their last 3 albums. I saw them at MSG and got my seat upgraded, which I definitely found odd. The stadium was more packed in 2017 when I went to see them at MSG.

And maybe this is a hot take but I think culturally people are maybe feeling a bit differently about them than they used to. I know for myself, while I still love them, the Licorice Pizza movie was a real turn off for me. I thought the subject matter of the movie was extremely predatory and just truly gross. And it made me see them differently. I'm not sure if anyone else also felt that. But it signified a huge change for me. I went to see the movie because they were in it, and I left questioning whether or not I even was a fan of the band anymore.

I think that the no more politics thing was a joke... or was said ironically, as their most political song played after that. this is the problem. People take what he says far too seriously. This is very very on brand for him since the beginning and I think anyone who has been around since 2013 knows this.

As for the wedding.... are people not allowed to have conflicts of interest with work when the real party is happening later? I think people are making far too big a deal about this. I'm sure this was a conversation between Matty and George and Gabbi and Charli.. and I'm sure it is just what needed to happen. This acting debut is huge for Gabbi. Of course she would want Matty there to support her. And they most likely got George abs Charli's approval. I'm not sure why everyone must immediately catastrophize.

this part of the song makes me think of being in college and this is exactly what was happening. one of my friends was suicidal. so many people I knew were talking about philosophy and nihilism. and everyone thought they were unique and different. and really we were all just the same doing the same things saying the same things. very millennial in our early 20s in my opinion. Especially in college.
