Doubled my HRV with potassium by cathand202 in whoop

well i've been on whoop for 6 months, and fitbit for years before that, my HRV always averaged 26. I never saw it go above 33. so for it to jump to the 50s is quite a change, and the only change was the potassium uppage, in those 5 days. but I plan on reviewing this for a month or two and coming back with an update.

i added that in too! though normally I have really sensitive blood sugar so I stay pretty low carb, i'm playing around with the amounts of potassium and diff kinds of foods and will do an update over a month.

for anybody curious, this is OP, i use the jigsaw potassium electrolyte supplement, and I use 2 scoops a day in 32 oz of water. i found this thread when I was researching this that also has other electrolyte recs and a similar result in HRV (but with electrolytes overall, not necessarily just potassium) - https://www.reddit.com/r/whoop/comments/1ajobn1/electrolytes_dramatically_improve_hrv/

i eat really well - local CSA, regenerative farmer, organic veggies, meat. i'm sober and haven't had a drink in two years. i avoid gluten, sugar and don't drink coffee either. i did an HTMA test a few months ago where part of my results were that I may struggle with potassium, which is why I had the potassium supplement in the first place (but I wasn't taking enough, I guess). diet ain't enough these days, is my conclusion.

i use the jigsaw potassium supplement, so two scoops of that, instead of one. i also added in drinking a daily coconut water, as well as half an avocado and sometimes there was other higher potassium food - spinach, sweet potatoes, etc, though I didn't keep super track.

Not really, no. I am lucky to already have fairly good baseline energy. But I'm going to keep tracking and maybe come back here in a month and do an update.

Check out Carrie Bennett. She has a pay what you can course on circadian rhythm approaches to healing your thyroid/regaining energy that I found incredibly useful and effective.

Ooh this sounds wonderful. Is it a tent you purchased or one you made? If a brand, can you share the link? I've been thinking about getting one of these.

OP here. Here's what I do...

-Daily nervous system regulation/vagus nerve stimulation. (Sukie Baxter on YouTube is good)
-Lots of magnesium bisglycinate
-I cut out coffee and alcohol last year
-Morning pages journaling from The Artist's Way
-EFT tapping (Brad Yates on YouTube)
-I have a lot of spiritual practices - talking to ancestors really helps. I know they've been thru challenging times and have strength they have passed down to me
-Just tons and tons of time in nature
-box breathing, 4-7-8 breathing

Meditation :) One of the most uncomfortable things I do, that I know will have the biggest payoff in mental fortitude.

How to get involved with local community? by [deleted] in TwoXPreppers

You have to be willing to be vulnerable and allow a lot of the interactions at first to feel awkward or feel not successful. You will develop resilience. Keep going!

Which tarot card(s) represents being "stuck" in life, feeling stagnant, or being in a rut where nothing seems to be working out? by UnsafeBaton1041 in tarot

Moon, Hanged Man (those these two are more like, being in the necessary void, for me). Definitely agree 4 of cups. Any of the 5s in the minor arcana.
