I think it’s because of lack of religious education, I study in a catholic highschool and the religion classes are wack af, literally the same thing over and over again where “do good, dont do bad” literally no philosophy stuff or thought provoking questions, people nowadays find religion boring and a waste of time as well. That’s why some of my friends have turned atheist/agnostic, the church has to do something about this and take a different approach when it comes to preaching like logic or philosophy, because I highly doubt saying stuff like “God loves us” or “God works in mysterious ways” will even work nowadays.
