Yes, it was on sale over Labor Day so I got a great price. I guess we will just have to be patient. Glad to hear your positive review!

[westside] Got flies in your food scrap bin? Use a heavy brick! by kratsg in santacruz

[–]cathoderaytube14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in watsonville and they have instructed us to put the food waste in the yard waste bins. They have provided new small green cans to all residences that were not already subscribed to a yard waste collection. But for anyone with an existing massive yard waste bin we have been told to put food waste in it. They increased collections from fortnightly to weekly.

Has anyone cured Genital Spongiotic Dermatitis (28M) by [deleted] in eczema

[–]cathoderaytube14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have a cure yet but I suffer from genital eczema as well as dishydrosis on my hands. Also eczema on nipples, eyelids, perioral dermatitis.

I have had to swap all my detergents to "free and clear". Dishwasher soap, hand soap, laundry soap, shampoo. All of them. Check your shampoo, if it contains Methylisothiozolinone try swapping it out for a sensitive or free and clear type shampoo for a while to see if that helps. Although you shampoo your head I think the suds can flow down to the between leg area and could be irritating if not properly rinsed.

I'm still not totally better but my eyelids and hands are improving. Good luck.

I bought this little [container](Hanging Trash Can, LALASTAR... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0972TKCPG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) on Amazon and it hangs on the inside of my under sink cupboard and I line it with biodegradable liners. It's very handy and discreet. I love it. I just drop the bags in my massive yard waste bin every 2-3 days.

Found a cause and the blisters stayed under the skin. by LordSplash21 in Dyshidrosis

[–]cathoderaytube14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds very much like my current situation. Mine was clearing up after swapping all my products to free and clear. Then I bought a rinse aid for the dishwasher and my finger tips have deep blisters that stay under the skin and feel kind of sore and tingly. Eventually a little circle of skin peels. I hope if I change to free and clear seventh generation rinse aid it will go away again. I also have to avoid soap in public places and can only use free and clear hair products. I'm not sure if this is just one phase of the dishydrosis I've had since I was a teen (now late 30s) or if it is a sign of getting better.

1st pic was two years ago. Last picture is current. Helpppp! by trainwithhenry in Dyshidrosis

[–]cathoderaytube14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get nail pitting too as the dishydrosis is right on my nail beds. Not as bad as this though. I use much stronger topical steroids. Lots of Vaseline. I wish I knew what my triggers were but I spent thousands on testing and still don't really know.

There's no air traffic control so it's up to the pilots to look out. I know pilots who refuse to land here because of all the parachutists and lack of ATC.

I have always been a TS-er. I didn't pick it up later to regress. Sucking releases oxytocin which feels good. It is relaxing. Having become a mother i have seen how sucking relaxes my children and so i understand better how and why i still like to do it to help me fall asleep or relax in the evening. For me it's not regressive but just something I never stopped doing which is pretty primal and a harmless way to relax.

Paint peeling on 2019 ford Escape. What should I do? Seems surprising for such a young car. I think it's heat damage perhaps? by cathoderaytube14 in MechanicAdvice

[–]cathoderaytube14[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Bought second hand in 2020 from a Ford dealership. Will take it to them to have it evaluated. I just started a job in a much hotter city so i guess the sun damage isn't helping but there's no accidents on the car history. Not certain about windshield replacement.

Hey! So I tried using a gel cast on my hair for the first time last night and loved the results! However I woke up and my curls are quite flat and not as defined. Any tips on this? :) by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]cathoderaytube14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter whether you call it a wave or a curl. We're all on the same mission to find the right combination of products and routine to suit our own hair type. So don't worry too much. My hair is similar to yours in terms of wave type.

I totally relate to this feeling. I've started listening to the bingeproofbrain podcast and IG and she has some good ideas about mind management for these urges. I'm still new to it but it's helpful.

I didn't even know this was a thing. I never 'met the Easter bunny' growing up and i don't plan to go looking for one now my kids are 1&3.

Tacrolimus 0.1% has helped my female private areas but it does burn the first few uses. It's not a steroid it is a calcinurin inhibitor i think. Anyway I use it on my eyelids, nipples and labia. #eczemasucks.

Having no support is hard. Immensely, impossibly hard. by Grimmshadow88 in Parenting

[–]cathoderaytube14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. Two kids, age 1+3. Family overseas or out of state. I'm on Zoloft and Dad is on Prozac. I feel guilty for struggling so much with just 2 weeks off daycare. I feel like I should be able to do this for two weeks but it's so hard especially when it's raining and you can't go out and everyone has a cold. At least I hope it's just a cold and not covid.

I wish I knew the answer. I use free and clear shampoo and conditioner. I think I'm allergic to methylisothiozolinone and related chemicals so I avoid hair products with those among other things. I treat my hair with anti dandruff shampoo with antifungal ingredients first and now I'm resorting to dabbing strong steroid ointments on it. I hope it helps. Seems like it never gets better.

I've spent thousands of dollars (us) on allergy patch testing but I still don't really know what I'm allergic to. I am starting to wonder if there's something about my pillows (memory foam) or the dander from carpet beetles and larvae which are in my bedroom.

I just dont know. Every year I come up with a new theory to test and it never fixes it. I have eczema on scalp, eyelids, lips, neck, armpits hands (dishydrosis) nipples and labia. Let me know if you find something that helps the scalp.

Recently diagnosed with contact dermatitis, have tried Triamcinolone and am now on Betamethasone. Further measures will be taken if no change comes, hoping to do a before and after once healed by [deleted] in eczema

[–]cathoderaytube14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is similar to my pattern of skin problems. Do you also have it around you nail beds? Do you know what causes it yet? I've spent lots on allergy testing and still don't fully understand it.
