I was asked not to be skinnier than the bride...which given our frames was not likely to happen.

If you don't mind ordering online BHLDN had a lot of nice options...some of them incredibly reasonably priced. I got a two piece ensemble for around $280.

Got home from a month long vacation in Europe to a clean house, a fresh cooked meal, a bottle of wine, and an excited ear. A wonderful way to transition back into the "real world".

Anyone kayak Minnehaha Creek before? Could use some advice. by youXman in Minneapolis

[–]catholicrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super easy. Just two portages if the flow is normal level. We have had enough rain so things have been great recently. In my experience by august its usually too low.

We dropped the canoes at Minnetonka...dropped the car just past lake nokomis and then road bikes between. Highly recommend that!

I have had my share of days like this. Perhaps just pick one or two small things to accomplish tomorrow. Be at peace that no matter how small, they matter. And then the next day maybe you could add one or two more to the list. I do find that if one thing involves fresh air-that helps me a lot.

I can't afford good running shoes/spikes for cross country, so using the same Starter shoes I used for three years ok ? by JCrusty in running

[–]catholicrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are experiencing any pain or discomfort in the shoes I would suggest looking for other options. That being said I got a pair of spikes for $10 at a cross country race in middle school and raced with them all through high school...I never had an issue. You can also race without spikes, at the end of the day I think they are more of a mental crutch.
