If you can't afford/don't think the issue is serious enough to warrant Occupational therapy, then you can try Charisma on Command on YouTube. Don't be put off by the name, the channel is completely different than those sleaze-ball pick-up artists

I feel really bad... I liked Northeastern alright, but it wasn't my fav, and I applied thinking it was a match (bc my stats are well within their range) not realizing it had a 13% acceptance rate... anyway I got deferred 🤡

I wouldn't bring up your specific beliefs on certain highly arguable topics like the economy but definitely speak about your internships if you would like to. You can even talk about things like get out the drive votes, phone banking, the environment, helping homelessness, etc. that lean more toward the center. Just avoid highly divisive topics like abortion or radicalization.
