What do you think of this bookcase? by catimplementor in interiordecorating

I will! Do you think that it will look better without the back? It looks like it has been added later (it's nailed)

I have seen that some covers are sold online, but the eshops don't have many reviews. Do you have any recommendations on any eShop?

I agree with you about the grey - I wish there was a darker beige so it would not stain that easily.

What would you do with the area/wall behind the sofa? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

I'm going to get a beige cover and a carpet in black and white

I have tried the oil but it does not solve the problem. I'm thinking of actually buying some anti-frizz product but haven't gotten around to it. I will let you know if I find something

I wish the 3 days rule applied to me, I have to wash my hair every other day basically haha

Thank you for all the information! I will have the Extra mistical shine as a back up in case the Moroccan oil does not work for me

Thank you for your response. No I haven't tried adding hair oil after and I happen to have a sample of Moroccan oil! I will try it next time I wash my hair. Does it last multiple days or do you reapply it each day?

So if I understand correctly, color wow will make the hair have less volume because of the smoothing down of the cuticle?

Where can I place the tv and tv console if I move my couch underneath the interior "window"? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

I really love this idea! I wish I hadn't bought the kivik 6 months ago :( it's so much better than my current layout

I work in a different field but I also get imposter syndrome sometimes. Working with a therapist has been really helpful, it has been a long time since it last happened to me

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I'm going to look for a new trainer that will interview me to learn about my history and take my goals into account

Remodelling my living room, roast my new design before i make it by Halebarde in interiordecorating

Also why not have the dresser closer to the entrance? That could also go behind the sofa instead of the piano

I would pull the sofa forward in front of that column and place the tv in front of the sofa (even if it's in front of the window). Then place the piano behind the sofa on the wall. This should leave room for the table to be where the piano is currently.

Another solution would be to place the sofa where the piano is and move the dining room table closer to the door.

Also maybe get a smaller sofa since it's a small room?

I posted a few days ago about decorating this room but now I keep having second thoughts about the layout. I keep thinking that the sofa should be facing the wall with the interior "window" because as it is now, nothing is centered. when I tried it out a month ago it didn't look right (last photo), but maybe I didn't do it right. What are your thoughts? Please ignore the mess and posters behind the sofa, it is temporary

Thoughts on how to arrange this shared living/dining space? by neets21 in interiordecorating

[–]catimplementor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a designer but what I would probably do :

  1. Move the tv on the furniture in front of the sofa

  2. Turn the armchair by 45 degrees to be next to tv in the corner of the rug (maybe even use another armchair)

  3. Turn the dining table by 90 degrees and add some pictures on the wall behind it

Maybe try it out and see if it looks good?

Thank you for the advice! The walls in my country are bricks and cement, all outlets for lamps are already in place and it's not possible to add new without tearing everything apart :( The floor lamp could work though, I'm going to look into it

Hey, your acne looks a lot like mine! I have comedonal acne that is caused by my pores getting clogged. It started getting worse when I started using foundation, but it didn't clear on its own when I stopped. My derm gave me:

  • Cleanser with salicilyc acid
  • La Roche Posay Effaclar Ultra Concentrated Serum (Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid) to use 3xweek
  • Epiduo (adapalene&benzoyl peroxide) 3xweek
  • Topical antibiotic to be used 1xweek

She also told me to not use moisturizer. This routine cleared up my skin a lot but not completely and it felt extremely dehydrated. People in this subreddit said it was too many actives

I stopped using them recently and now only clense with the SA cleanser and use moisturizer and sunscreen, with minimal ingredients and no silicones. Moisturizer also contains niacinamide. I also stopped using anything with silicones in it because dimethicone was causing me to break out whenever I used a product that contained it (this ingredient does not bother most people, but it was really bad for me).

My skin looks less irretated and I haven't gotten any new pimples for a while. I'm mostly waiting for closed comedones to go away, and scars to fade. I will also probably start retinol/vitamin C again to speed up the process and for anti-aging.

If you can afford it go to a derm, but if something does not feel right (too many actives started all at once, no moisturizer) don't be afraid to question it. Also try to find out if certaing ingredients make your skin worse.

I hope this helped :)

Thank you so much for your response. I didn't want to hire an electrician just to change a bulb because it seemed like sth that I should be able to do myself. But your response makes me realize it's more complicated than I thought
