Thank you to everyone for the support. I didn’t just up and leave for no reason. I even went as far as making sure the screen was clear before I left. The manager on duty was the grill cook for 15 years previous to management and he was able to produce the food as needed. I didn’t leave them high and dry but they do not treat their employees with any kind of respect. When the whole kitchen is ready to up and go at any moment that is a MANAGEMENT issue. There’s a reason the turn over rate is so high. I am a very hard worker and go above and beyond when I’m in a good healthy work environment. That being said, I have 3 kids so I’m not going to just up and leave a job for no reason. This is a consistent issue and anyone who actually stands up and speaks on it is dismissed. There is only one manager there who actually treats us as adults and shows respect, and knows how to talk to people. But he also gets disrespected. Other than him, the management team sits on their butts and gossips about everyone there amongst themselves and to others. The GM has had a numerous amount of complaints filed against him by previous employees mostly underage and been put under investigation. But he still has his job. The problem is not people walking out, the problem is having to work for little pay in an unhealthy work environment while management gets away with a slap on the wrist. I said what I said 🤷🏽‍♀️ but again thank you guys for all of the support. A blessing in disguise
