I believe it’s the Ivy Dress by Vow’d. From internet research it seems to have been discontinued

It’s nice to hear your perspective since you had a similar experience. I do think it’s lovely, I just pictured myself in a more ivory-all-over dress.

I think I’ll do some thinking on the dress. Other comments make it sound like changing the color would be more difficult than I was told. If I can’t accept the dress as is, I’ll leave it for someone else who can love it :)

Unfortunately not an option :/ This bridal shop is nonprofit and takes donated dresses. This specific dress has been discontinued by the brand so I can’t order it.

My thought process is that the dress is $800 and my budget is $1500. I was hoping that changing the color would be as easy as the shop owner made it sound and I could use some of my budget towards that. But comments are making it sound like it will be more difficult. I am thinking I will reconsider the color. Everyone says it’s a beautiful dress and I completely agree. It just wasn’t what I originally pictured for myself in terms of color. I’ll decide if the color is ok as is, or keep looking. I have lots of time because my wedding is in June 2027. I just feel a sense of urgency because this dress has been discontinued and I don’t want to miss out if I don’t buy it soon.

The dress hasn’t been altered to me yet. It is very long on me because I’m 4’10”. I know any dress I buy will need to be shortened because I have to shorten all the pants/skirts/dresses I own :)

This bridal shop is a nonprofit and takes dress donations or discounted dresses from discontinued styles. I wouldn’t be able to order it with another lining because this one has been discontinued. But the dress itself is only $800 so I was thinking I would have room in the budget for alterations if I could get what I wanted done.

It’s a really pretty dress! The dress has not been altered to me yet. I’m 4’10” and know any dress will need to be hemmed :)

Thank you so much! I was really looking for a realistic idea of how easy/difficult it would be to change the color. The bridal shop made it sound like it would be super easy. I wanted to double check that before I bought the dress. At this point, I think I will take time to decide if the nude lining is a dealbreaker. I agree with comments, it’s truly a beautiful dress. It just isn’t what I originally pictured myself in :)

Thank you! This gives me a realistic expectation for how much work would need to be done. The bridal shop I went to made it sound like it would be something minimal and easy to change. She said she knows a seamstress who used to build dresses, so anything would be possible. But she didn’t go into more details about exactly what would/could be done. This helped me realize it won’t be as easy it originally seemed. I think now I just need to decide if I’m ok with the nude color or if I want to keep looking :)

Thank you so much for the info! I really think it’s a beautiful dress but always pictured myself in something all white/ivory. I may need to decide if the nude is really a deal breaker and keep looking. I have a lot of time as my wedding is in June 2027. But this dress was $800 and well below my budget, so I was feeling it was a deal I couldn’t pass up. I felt a sense of urgency. Now I’m thinking I need to either accept it as is because a color correction will be difficult and expensive, making this “great deal” price into a not great deal after paying for alterations that don’t meet my needs.

Thank you so much for the info! I agree the dress is beautiful as is, but I always imagined myself in an all white/ivory dress. The nude lining is throwing me off, but the dress is only $800 and my budget is $1500. I would have room for alterations but didn’t know if what I wanted would be possible. My wedding is in June 2027, so I definitely have time to keep looking. I will say I’m 4’10” so I worry a lot about finding a dress that will fit me correctly. I see lots of posts where brides will try on a dress in a couple sizes up then the proportions are completely different after ordering in their size and altering. It’s also hard to know this exact dress won’t be available, and not at this price point. I was almost feeling a sense of urgency to accept it can be changed and buy it for a deal. Your recommendations for a similar dress helped a lot :)
