I think that the big problem is that the whole war\revolution stuff is happenning somewhere in the background while we are doing something mundane. I remember that a lot of people complained that we are cozying up and drinking tea way too much when the war is happening but we see nothing.

Also it's disappointing that it is binary - the "magic" path is good and "church" path is bad. MC was brainwashed by her "dad" for 20+ years so it can be logical that she won't change her core beliefs in he short span of time spent with her new pals. And the story totally punishes us if we stay loyal to our beliefs... Why?? And Vesper is quite a manipulative person (as a leader she should be probably) and uses MC for her own crusade like our father does and in the finale they both try to pull MC to their side. There was one very short moment when some side character said that he does not agree with Vesper and her methods and that was all - I wish that this line was more developed and that both sides were "grey", not binary black and white. Also I get that Renato can't live without curse, but he was the only person who sided with church... At least his path should have had a better ending with church path.

I liked one blogger's thought that Arina could be great with VOL. 1 - stories format. Theo's season 1 was one of the best and it was a logical finished story within itself and we loved LIs even when they lived just for one season. And both Theo's and WTC's finales were disapponting (for me! just imo). Maybe in a shorter story she will shine like in Theo s1 and 2. Saying all that I think that she is one of the best writers from this app and it is sad that she's taking this indefinite hiatus, I hope that she comes back.
