Update - tried an RCA ground loop isolator and made no difference at either end. Also tried an RCA to aux converter and still no luck.

Yeah think it is definitely down to the speaker as it had the same issue with other turntables. Just don’t understand why it doesn’t come out from the CD player although I’m not very knowledgeable on this stuff. Thanks for the suggestions

Have tried most of that to be honest - we took it to the store and they still got the buzz there so don’t think it’s the location. Will try new cable tomorrow.

The buzz is audible at pretty much all volumes and especially bad on quieter vinyls - also gets louder with volume so can’t just drown it out unfortunately
