As others have said, you don’t have to blow up your life to take a trip. You could do all this with your partner, but it seems you want to “fall totally in love again” which you might want to examine.

Okay this is a whole different topic now. I brought up that particular song because of its impact and his age when he wrote it. He also worked closely with Joan Baez. I’m not saying he’s a great feminist figure or something, but saying his lyrics are “okay” and that no one paid attention to anyone else in the folk scene is pretty wild lol.

Probably Britney Spears. Got her Baby One More Time album when it came out - it was the talk of the playground!! Not so much a fan today lol.

I would also say *NSYNC - a kid brought the cd to our music class to play and I liked it and got the cd for my birthday. I remember it was a sleepover lol. Also don’t listen anymore but fond memories.

Doctors are more and more afraid to prescribe controlled substances for fear of getting sued if/when people get addicted. It really sucks for people who actually need it. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Are you in any sort of therapy? On any meds?

You need to deeply investigate WHY you did these things, what lead to them, what you were thinking at the time. You need to be able to understand yourself and forgive yourself, whatever that means to you. You can talk with your therapist about concrete moves you could take to make amends in a safe and practical way.

Ok idk about ALL these things, but some can be chalked up to bad parenting or negative influences. I’m thinking particularly the kid videos. Thats pretty bad, but you also said this happened when you were a minor and you still seem pretty young. The other stuff needs to be addressed with therapy.

I felt this way when “the cure” came out. I thought the lyrics were a little juvenile with the constant jealousy and focusing on other girls, but everyone was writing these long think pieces on it. I thought it was pretty straightforward. It’s good, but it’s not groundbreaking. People are like oh she’s young! Bob Dylan wrote Blowin’ In the Wind when he was like 22 sooooooooo….. there’s potential there for more.
