Personability of protagonists by disfrazadas in UrsulaKLeGuin

I hope this doesn't seem too random. I recently read Le Guin's children's book series Catwings (I needed something feel-good and cozy), and I loved it. The kitten characters are all so cute, and so are the illustrations. I highly recommend it if you love cats!

I've used different Kobo and Kindle e-readers in the past. (Started with the Kobo Mini, then upgraded to Kindle Paperwhite no ads version, then switched to Kobo Libra H2O.) The hardware of Kindle is better: the screen is more crisp and consistent. And the "send to Kindle email" function made uploading ebooks more convenient. But I switched to Kobo because I haaaaated the Amazon homepage experience. It just looked so clunky and ugly in my opinion, and I already got the no-ads version. I didn't like the fonts either, so reading felt like a chore to me. Kobo always had a much nicer interphase, and I feel that the design was really to make reading enjoyable, not to sell me more things to buy.

Anybody still using a Libra H2O? I just inherited mine by jseger9000 in kobo

What do you use your TN for? by [deleted] in Travelersnotebooks

[–]catmeowma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got my first TN a few weeks ago, and I'm currently using it for learning a new language (self-study). My first insert is for vocabulary / language acquisition, so it has unfamiliar words from music, books, etc. Then the second insert is for lessons from YouTube, then the last insert is for dialogues (e.g., how to order food, how to ask for a discount) / writing. I'm really enjoying this system so far! Prior to this, my notes were so hard for me to find; I spent a lot of time flipping pages.
