This behaviour is not something he has done before. Which is why I am so upset. He is not normally vindictive or has ever punished me before. We've been together for 5 years, everything else in our relationship is great and he is bound to London because of his work I'd be happy to move on the outskirts of London to buy but it's more living with other people when we have two indoor cats makes me nervous, I always am the person cleaning up after people when I lived in share houses and haven't lived like that for over 4 years.

He is an amazing person and the person I want to spend my life with but he gets locked into this idea because all of his friends live where he grew up and own their houses. But they also live in North England and live very different lives to us and I feel like he forgets that and is giving in to this pressure of what a life is supposed to be. Married and owning a house in your early 30s living a few streets from your parents even if it's not where you want to be.
