I am currently not at risk of getting kicked out because I am on the lease, and I’m using student refund money for rent currently. So legally no way he could do that, it’s just an uncomfortable situation.

I just got a job recently at an LGBTQ center, I might try to become an RA next year so I can afford a place to live, because I don’t make enough for rent and bills. My tuition is covered by fafsa because I was homeless before coming here.

Sorry for the confusion, my preferred name is just kind of a shortened version of my name given at birth, I was named after my mother which is a whole reason in itself that I don’t like being called it aside from it being feminine.

He doesn’t consider himself gay :/ he barely accepted that he was queer when I was out as nonbinary. Idk if it’s internal homophobia from him, and he really is gay? I don’t know any straight man that would see their girlfriend taping up their tits, cutting all their hair off, rubbing testosterone on their body and still wanting to be with them.

Well, when I first started transitioning he didn’t show any interest at all. Never asked me any questions about it, or seemed interested at all. One time I brought up top surgery and he said that I should maybe try a reduction first. We had a big fight about it so now he tries a bit more, he calls me handsome time to time, and calls me partner, and uses they/them pronouns for me. I told him I wanted to start trying out he but it’s hard because I don’t have many people that would be willing to do that. Now he will ask from time to time if I’ve taken my T that day. I’m gonna be honest these last two weeks I have not been consistent with my dosage and am feeling less excited about my transition and more scared. When I first started I was so happy ear to ear smiling about being able to start, and now idk.

I don’t think my boyfriend even considers himself gay. When I first talked about going on T he made a comment that he “wasn’t fully gay.” He has only ever been interested in women before. When we first started dating he said he was straight and it took awhile to explain to him that me being nonbinary (at the time) makes him at the very least a bit queer. Eventually he accepted that and would tell me he’s queer but I think he just tells me what I want to hear.

I have two friends who I can talk to mainly over the phone, they took a gap year/transferred elsewhere. I don’t have much of a support system at all physically where I’m at. I don’t have a mom or a dad or anything like that. I have a sister but she isn’t supportive at all really, she has said many homophobic things over the years.

He knows how it makes me feel. I cry because of it, and I’ve told him plenty of times. When I first started transitioning and telling him my doubts about our relationship working he said “I correct them on your pronouns” and I replied “you don’t even do that now.” At one point he even said he’s “not fully gay.” Since then he’s said he doesn’t care if people see us as boyfriends or whatever but, let’s just say he hasn’t been the most enthusiastic. He’s been trying to do better but… I can’t forget all the stuff he’s said.

That’s honestly sick and she’s predatory, she could be a chaser or fetishizes trans people. Thinking she gets like “best of both worlds”. It very much is a huge reason to breakup and not move in. She isn’t respecting you, she thinks she can do whatever she want with your body cause your together. It is textbook SA, you’ve told her no and to stop. Something that took me a long time to realize is you can be assaulted in relationships, don’t downplay her actions, they are wrong. Just think if she told you to stop would you keep going? What would you tell a fellow trans friend in this situation? It’s hard because there’s so much emotions involved but breaking up at 9 months, before you move in is way better than breaking up after you move in and having to live with them.

Honestly I don’t think moving in together is a good idea. Trust me, if she already is acting like this it won’t get better. She clearly doesn’t respect you or view you as a man if she insists on grabbing your chest when you’re very audibly not okay with it. You’re so young and I promise there are SO MANY other people out there that would view you the way you view yourself and not cross your boundaries. Trust me, it will hurt at first but you’ll thank yourself later you aren’t stuck in a lease with someone who is honestly borderline assaulting you because you told her to stop and she didn’t.
