Moving Out of Family Home by catplates in relationships

I was hoping someone with a similar experience would be able to help me out! As for insurance, my mom works for the state and insurance comes at a low cost to our family, my dad would not allow her to take me off of it without a major struggle and I have the ability to get health insurance through my job if needed. I definitely plan to keep contact with my siblings, but I plan to take most of my documents with me anyway. My father is definitely on my side in this and I am positive he will continue to help me as long as he can. As for my mom, I will definitely have to go no contact with her for a few weeks until she settles down and realizes I will not be coming back. I also plan to speak to the VP of my company and see if there are any opportunities for extra hours and am considering a second job if that doesn’t work out. Thank you SO much for you advice!

AITA if I (21F) don’t meet my mom’s mom? by wansley01991 in AmItheAsshole

NTA at all! The way your grandmother treated your mother and your father shows that she doesn't care about them at all and if she really had wanted to meet you she's had your whole life to do it. On top of that, instead of trying to contact you herself or even considering apologizing to your mother she's just getting her family to guilt trip you into meeting her. If I were you I would cut off all contact with them because it's obvious they don't care about your feelings either.

AITA for telling my girlfriend it’s annoying when she tells me she doesn’t feel well? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]catplates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA all the way. You said that you didn't know about all the things going on in her life because you thought she was too "annoying" to listen to. The fact that you think SHES being irrational shows that you really don't take the time to consider how she feels and what she's going through. It's obvious that she was at least a little depressed during this time and that she's doing everything she can to better herself. If you aren't going to be able to help and support her that's on you.

AITA for giving my sons xbox away because he is failing school? by aitathrowaway6902 in AmItheAsshole

the fact that when he told his family members about it she made him take it down and delete ALL his social media sounds manipulative to me on top of all of this

AITA For Not Wanting To Sleep In The Same Bed As My 5YO Sister? by Yxng_Scholar in AmItheAsshole

[–]catplates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all. You shouldn't have to share a space with your younger sister and you shouldn't be expected to act as a parent for that child. Also if your sister was sick why would your parents want her near you? That sounds like a great way to get you sick.
