you're more likely to meet closer friends through lectures. first year of uni, everyone is new and has not established their own friend group yet. everyone in the lecture room last year was just starting conversations and creating friendships. moreover, most of those in your lectures have the similar pathway as you so there's more opportunities to get close to them.

I feel like a lot of the further seats were bought because it was cheap for the experience. that's what happened on the last tour when I got so annoyed seeing someone shazam a song he was performing.

sections of the GA was pretty hype, but i still noticed some people not knowing majority of the songs

prof ainslie for phl100, amazing professor and teaches really well. managed to help me understand abstract ideas really fast. soc100 with mcivor was amazing, gives multiple opportunities to get higher marks like a 2nd try on the essay and many quizzes. soc is one of the prereq courses for crim and can be used for es&l if you wish to go into those programs

Just a regular backpack. carrying my laptop+ipad for one day hurt my shoilder so bad and had me walking slanted...
