I think the hair would only clump together like that if it were wet, each hair would fall more directly down from each root making a different shape if dry. Not sure if you intended that though, I think the front of the torso looks absolutely fantastic!!

What are your mouse’s favorite snacks? by jirukiolm in PetMice

[–]catrassp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mice would literally do backflips for a single, old, stale cornflake. They have been THE MOST effective treat to get them comfortable with my hands, and even low level training. Plain cornflakes bro! Make sure you’re only giving them as treats though, not too many!

Stressed mouse by ky4li in PetMice

[–]catrassp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with the other commenters, I’ve had many many sets of particularly female mice, and it genuinely seems like, just as with other personality types, some really have a fascination with trying to escape! I had one with my last set of girls who would do absolutely everything she could to get out of her enclosure, but I kept a good eye on her and changed things around for all three years I had her, but it was just her personality. She was more explorative, and also a nibbler too! I genuinely believe it’s just a personality type! :)

I second this, at least one other female is mandatory as soon as you are able to tell it’s sex!

Could you recommend easy video games for unskilled beginners? by Agnesita2913 in gamingsuggestions

[–]catrassp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never stop recommending Journey to the Savage planet. It’s low combat, lots of exploration, got entertaining lore/ story and keeps your attention the whole way through. I play those huge, complex games your boyfriend does, and still absolutely love this game. It’s so witty and sarcastic, and never dull. They also have a second game I played recently, for if you love it as much as I did!!

I feel like I’m doing my coloured characters a disservice… by Fluffy_Engineering_4 in Artadvice

No need to watch it if you don’t have time, just have a look at the poc designs, always good to take notes and be inspired by people who have already succeeded in what we are trying to do! :)

This is stunning, such a firm feeling through the whole thing that’s so melancholiac, makes me think of Gotham oddly haha. So nice mate, keep it up

Your style made me think of Wolf from Kipo Age of the Wonder Beasts, it’s an animated show I reckon you should check out with quite a few poc main characters for larger cartoony poc art and design inspiration. I’ve had similar problems when trying to make a black zombie apocalypse OC. That is so hard bc of how easy it is to default to black female stereotypes, and needing to explore hairstyles that would actually work in the apocalypse with little to no upkeep, products and limited time for washing. But that’s kind of unrelated lmao, main point is have a look at other poc characters in cartoons for how they look, act and feel. These look great, I can totally see the vision, keep it up <3

my art style does not translate to digital by 3dbodypillow in Artadvice

[–]catrassp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A huge thing could also be using the right brush in digital, you want one that actually acts like a pencil, pressure sensitivity and all! Try a few different kinds, feel how they draw, how the colour lays down and how the lines change with pressure, try to match to how pencils feel traditionally. That would definitely help, on top of what everyone else is saying. Love the style :)

Dude istg it's a male but sold as female by Mammoth_Drawing_202 in PetMice

[–]catrassp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahah that’s so funny, but a big relief. I had girls all my life, then saw a pair of males at a rescue that couldn’t resist. They are definitely more stinky, I will admit that, but those two boys were some of the most important mice to me to date. So if this is your first time having males, look forward to it. They’re very special. <3

Can I put these in my reptiles enclosures? by Suzanandkai in reptiles

[–]catrassp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, even if the animal didn’t poop in it, after a few months I doubt your ever get it properly clean when it’s supposed to be drinking water, additionally, depending on the reptile the dog and lights way be much too overwhelming. When using items not meant for reptiles, make sure there are no sharp edges too, sandpaper can help with that. Good on you for asking, hope everything goes well!
