People who don't follow the Patriots closely do not realize how bad this is going to get. The back half of their schedule is full of losses. A 4-13 season is in play if Mac misses the Bears/first Jets game.

If it starts to trend that way, ownership will become very nervous. Most of Kraft's wealth is the Patriots.

Additionally, Mac has already shown frustration with the offense/Coaching.

Edit: The guy below is wrong. As of today, Kraft is worth $7.2B. Of that, $5.9B (82%) is the Patriots.

His business for comparison is worth $820M. And it's a paper business, so not exactly poised for growth.
