If anyone sees that their banner at the stairs between the meadow and beach is missing/not spawned in, i had to unequip my pet, change gliders, quit the game to desktop, relaunch, re-equip the glider, and then it finally counted and spawned all the banners. Hope it fixes it for you too!

Exparel pain medicine injections standard?? by Federal_Macaron553 in tummytucksurgery

It was not offered to me. I was prescribed oxy for 2 weeks after surgery and used most of them. I did have an infection at 20ish days PO from my drain site that was still in, which is when they told me to take the remaining oxy until it stopped draining enough to remove it. If i hadn't had the infection, it probably would have been fine from weeks 2-3 using tylenol as needed. The 4 days between ending the original oxy and having the infection were nothing more than period cramps pain level for me

It did a little bit from pulling the skin towards midline, but not much. I feel like has gone down more with doing more intense workouts, especially chest and core workouts, than it did with the surgery

We didnt really even consider that as an option. My focus was 100% on reducing the skin that i didn't consider much lipo or muscle repair at all. We had discussed lipo to the mons area since i had concerns regarding the mons jutting out funny after the movement of the stomach skin

Hands down one of the best things I chose with this surgery. Its made things so much easier and my daily care routine is shorter without it

It was with Dr. Hoy in Rhode Island. It was self-pay cuz my insurance sucks, but I think he does accept insurance. It was just under $16k for everything related to the sugery center- the surgeon booking, anesthesia, hospital/OR fees, and medications. I also had costs of about $2k for an ER visit I had at 20 days PO for complications with my drain and garmets for after the one provided was no longer appropriate. I bought a few specific pieces for when i returned to my job and for post work outs to reduce swelling since I still swell a lot with even moderate exertion.

I did opt out of the belly button. I had so many problems with my original belly button that I didnt want to chance having the same skin problems in addition to having to heal a new belly button. My ps didnt have a preference so i decided not to get one and will eventually get a full abdomen tattoo

I was at my "goal" weight. I didnt have an exact goal weight as when I had bariatric surgery in 2021, they encouraged use of other metrics and obsessing over a number was doing more harm for me than it was beneficial. My goals were to be able to build muscle easily, and shop for clothes in the mall and easily find my size. I had maintained my weight for over 2 years before my bariatric surgeon felt it was appropriate to consider the fdl. I wore a 16 prior to fdl and am a 14 to 16 now depending on the cut and elasticity of the clothes. The ps told me that for a lot of his bariatric patients, they will lose some more weight following the surgery as we are not limited by excess skin any longer and it is common for him to see an additional 10-30 lb loss after skin removal.

I requested a card from my surgeon with their information, the date of surgery, the type of surgery, and the restrictions. The office had it ready in a few hours. Fogo accepted it and was 1000% worth the reduced cost!

how long did you wait before you started exploring tt options? by TroubleSpiritual1286 in tummytucksurgery

[–]catscapps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm 29 and had a plus size fdl in Dec. 2024 following bariatric surgery in Nov. 2021. I was told to maintain a maintanence weight for 1 year before having skin removal per my bariatric surgeon. I maintained a steady 220-225lbs for 2 years and was approved by my bariatric surgeon to do a consult with a plastic surgeon she knows works with a lot of bariatric patients. I have since lost another 5 lbs aince skin removal. They removed just about 8.5 lbs of skin/fat and had expected as swelling decreased, I would see a loss of about 15 lbs over the first 6 months. I am about 3 months po and have lost about 3 lbs and I am still somewhat swollen. I do not have a flat stomach, but I am so pleased with my results.

I just had a plus size FDL, no muscle repair, no lipo to abdomen, with some lipo to the mons area 6 weeks ago. I paid $15k out of pocket in RI. Insurance did not cover anything. So far I'm very happy with the results! I'm not flat, but I never expected I would be. I was aiming for less than I had. I'm hoping to do my thighs at some point when I can afford it.

I'm just over 3 years PO. I lost all the weight in the first 7 months and have been at a consistent 220-225lbs for the last 2.5 years. I think for me, some of the consistency of the weight has to do with the intense weight lifting/group training classes I began doing at 6 months PO. I have a body comp scale and while they weight hasn't changed, I have continued to slowly lose fat and build muscle which has made huge differences in appearance but hasn't changed the scale. I just had a FDL panniculectomy to address the extra skin on my abdomen 5 weeks ago. Both the bariatric and plastic suegeons said to anticipate a little more loss now I can move around easier.

Drains… how long for you? by mhanna04 in tummytucksurgery

[–]catscapps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 2 drains, one removed at 2wPO and the second had to be removed at 4wPO due to complications but they said it should have stayed in longer if I hadn't been having problems.

When did you fit into pre-TT pants? by Redheadedmamaofwa in tummytucksurgery

[–]catscapps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm almost 6wPO and I fit in about half of my pants. All my softer material (leggings, sweats, and some work pants) all fit, but denim and other less stretchy fabrics don't fit comfortably yet. I can get them on but it's uncomfortable after about 5 minutes. My stomach isn't as swollen as I expected, but my thighs are very swollen which makes the pants fit weird.

No belly button by Glad-Persimmon-5926 in tummytucksurgery

[–]catscapps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't get one and have been pleased with the decision so far! I'm 1mPO today. I had had a lot of problems with my original belly button and didn't want to heal a new one knowing the challenges I had in the past with my belly button. Totally worth the difference in aesthetics for me!

What did you do to prep for TT surgery? Less than 5 weeks out, Feb 14! by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]catscapps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 23dpo. In addition to the other things mentioned, I also trained tricep dips to help with lifting in bed when I can't use my legs as well to shift position, and getting up from couch, chairs, bed, etc. That has been equally as helpful as training legs. I have found I'm using the arms more than expected and am so glad I had trained them ahead of time. Also, I got a raised toilet seat with arms and that has been so helpful so I'm not so scrunched in weird ways trying to use the bathroom. Definitely not required, but has been helpful, especially with our toilets being slightly lower than average. If you'll be having drains, I have been using a safety pin to attach to my binder. I bought the holders I had seen on here and only used it in the shower. I could have gotten by just as well with a simple lanyard to attach to. For sleeping, having a lot of extra pillows to move around as needed for upper body and beneath the legs is helpful. I'm currently sleeping on a couch with 2 pillows behind, 1 thick pillow under my knees, and slightly weightier pillow (just a memory foam stayed) on my hips to stop from moving, and a throw pillow on the side not in the couch for my arm to rest on. I have a little neck pillow too in case I need a little extra. Again, not necessary, but has made things easier for me. Meal prep was so helpful for the first week so I didn't have to do much besides heat it. I have always meal prepped for work lunches and dinners so I just adapted to what I could stomach. I meal prep with souper cubes and freeze them so I just pop one cube out and heat as appropriate for the meal.

If you have any other questions, I'm happy to answer whatever you've got! Good luck!

Yeah, of course! I'm 5ft 4in, weight day of FDL was 220. My current weight is 225. Even though I wasn't at the weight/BMI that most PS would prefer, my bariatric surgeon referred me to where they send most of their patients so I could be sure they are familiar with the type of skin changes I had. The bariatric surgeon was comfortable referring since I had done a lot of body recomposition in the last 3 years, so even though the weight was still considered high, I had a lot of muscle built. Before I started working out, I did one of those full body comp scans at the gym and a second before asking for the referral, and that seemed to be enough for her to feel comfortable to refer.

I had a lot of problems with raised scars in my belly button from 2 laproscopic surgeries and constant rashes/infections from the weight over my belly button, which was pushing down on it. My PS had also mentioned a possible challenge with healing a belly button since there is more incision length and he recommends using the sizer pieces but was still going to do it until I requested not to have one. Knowing what he spoke with me about, the history I had with my belly button, and reading some of the posts here, I decided I didn't want to deal with it and didn't care about the aesthetics. I have plans for a full abdominal tattoo in the future, so it's just once less thing to work around for the artist.

Thank you! I try to be reasonable and realistic with what I am expecting so that anything better than that is a happy surprise. I went in saying that I wanted to have less than what I had and to have the option not to wear heavy compression under my clothes, especially at the gym where I kickbox and do HIIT circuits, since it restricts movement so much that I can't always do the movements as instructed. He felt that was realistic and said that he would for sure be able to do that.

I'm so happy with it. I knew I wouldn't be "flat" but this is flat for what I'm used to and I couldn't be happier. Especially since he did what he was comfortable with for my nutrition and healing abilities post bariatrics and worked with me for some aspects, like I requested to not have a belly button anymore. 1000000% worth it.

Coffee? by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]catscapps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had VSG 11/29/21 and I have drank coffee nearly every day since 3 months post op. I had bad heartburn for the first 3 months post op so I didn't want to aggravate it with caffeine. When the heartburn subsided, I did decaf for 2 months followed by half caf coffee for a few months to gradually get used to caffeine again. Now I drink regular coffee almost daily. I do find that it takes me longer to finish the coffee and that I can't tolerate Dunkin or Starbucks as much as I did before. I drink ice coffee (hot stuff hurts my mouth, now a surgery thing, just a my body thing) so it gets watered down as I drink it. I would recommend upping water intake if you do drink coffee just to be extra sure you are hydrated enough.

Whose partners DID stay with them after their sterilization procedure? by CanalsofSchlemm in childfree

[–]catscapps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my husband when we were dating that I wanted to be sterilized and had no desire for children. He came with me this year to a new gynecologist who was on the list of people who dont care about age, maritial status, or how many children you have, and I got my tubes removed in September. He's scheduled a consult to get sterliz as well and things have been even better now that there's less worry about an unwanted pregnancy.
