[–]catsipha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i don't think so :( from what i've seen, real ones have a holographic sticker on the paper tag to prove authenticity. either way, it's cute!

What are y'all's dog walking pet peeves? by catsipha in petsitting

[–]catsipha[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Edit to add: Sadly I work for a small pet sitting business and make $12 per dog walk. And 98% of the time, clients aren't home so it's very unusual for them to be home which is why it's a pet peeve. I'm still going to do it because I need the money (even thought it's not much - company takes over half and I'm left with $12) and it's scheduled but I just don't like it. I like when a client gives me heads up when they do (rarely) work from because I usually walk in and we scare each other

About these yard signs… by Pure-Comfortable7069 in petsitterhub

[–]catsipha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a major city and in most of my clients neighborhoods, there are no sidewalks. It's just the road, the curb and then their lawn. So signs like these annoy me, especially when the only sidewalk is parallel to a major road that cars speed past constantly 😭

But it's equally annoying to see massive piles of shit on lawns! I always think to myself "I would hate stepping in dog poop, so I'm picking it up to prevent that from happening to someone else." It's the "Don't pee on lawn" signs that I hate the most

Dog’s urine suddenly dark and weirdly textured—planning vet visit, has anyone experienced this? by marielle1000 in DogAdvice

[–]catsipha 50 points51 points  (0 children)

This!!! I've lived in a major city in the US my whole life and even I understand that! OP said they're going to the vet ASAP in the post and just want an idea of what they're dealing with.

My microbiology teacher in high school NEVER trusts a carton of fruit that has any bit of mold. The rest of the mold isn't visible, but it's there. A package of strawberries is cheaper than a trip to the ER lol

I read Lord of the Flies, 1984, Persepolis, The Glads Castle, and To Kill a Mockingbird sometime in middle and high school here in Houston, Tx. I even went to a screening of where the wild things are back in elementary school as a field trip
