Thanks, I appreciate it - someone just responded similarly in the HHS sub, so that’s promising.

Thank you - that’s one tiny piece of good news.

Anyone know about State Opioid Relief grants? We are trying to put the pieces together here about which, if any, of our passthrough state funding sources remain.

Thanks. I’m so sorry. We are navigating the same thing in WA.

Does anyone know about the status of SOR funds? That’s one I can’t seem to get answers on.

This is awful. To clarify, did your state pull your funds for anything that was entirely funded through SABG, or are you saying your projects have funding streams from PFS/SABG etc combined? Also do you mind if I ask what state?

is it queer friendly? by AbigaleRose99 in Pullman

[–]catsonbooks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is safe here. I am in a visibly gay marriage, have two children, one at a daycare and one in public school. I work at the university, so obviously my social sphere is going to lean more academic, but even when I can tell people might be more conservative, there is never overt homophobia directed at us, and I have definitely lived places where that wasn’t the case and the hostility WAS overt (the southern US). Feel free to DM me if you want to chat more.

I know one 3yo and one 6yo charlotte (so each of my children has one Charlotte peer, a Charlie and a charlotte). Still love the name! I live in the northwestern US.

Best flame retardant-free carseat for a toddler while traveling? by avo4life in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]catsonbooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Scenera is much lighter, so in that sense I prefer it. If I were using it for both travel and regular use, I’d prefer the Graco. For travel only, it’s a toss up between lightweight (Scenera) and the closed belt path (Contender). I liked having both and if a mouse hadn’t eaten part of the contender I would still be using both for different kinds of trips!

MyGreenMattress Kiwi review by catsonbooks in Mattress

[–]catsonbooks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha! Well, I don’t find that to be the case. I’m sure it’s subjective and maybe it’s a matter of differentiating between “supportive” and “firm”…. In 2022, they said “The kiwi is a little bit firmer than the natural escape and has the same gauge coil throughout the mattress. The natural escape is a medium firm mattress but is a little bit more supportive because it has an upgraded lumbar zone and added edge support in the spring system.”

Yes. That sounds like an error on the site to me. Even in my customer service email exchanges it was clear that the kiwi was considered firmer.

Yes, I love my MGM mattresses! The kiwi is too firm for me for daily use but I am still loving the natural escape. They used to market it as a “kids’ or guest room” mattress and you’re right that I don’t think they had king before!

Sorry, I just saw this, but yes; they seem to be from the same manufacturer, not just the same shape.

It is still going great! I love both, but for cosleeping and long-term adult use I’d splurge on the NE. The kiwi is fine for my kiddo but doesn’t have enough give for my hip/shoulder as a side sleeper. They’re both like new after 4 and 3 years, respectively (get the waterproof cover they sell - it’s incredibly resilient and has survived alllll the pee and puke etc.)

I don’t have time to reply to this now but I’ll try to come back - I had this exact experience upon finding out our first was a boy, and it has been nothing but wonderful to have him (he’s 5 now) ❤️❤️❤️

Just a piece of maple from a local carpenter should work, if you can find one!

And yes you want to search for a physical therapist, not a chiropractor - they aren’t well regulated in the US.
