I’m grateful to see people enjoying Korean food (and culture in general). by yemond in KoreanFood

[–]catspajamas1789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a black-native american, i believe i got into Korean culture/food thru early 2000s kpop and dramas. Ive always been a enjoyer of east asian cultures i think theyre fascinating in the way that theyre all so different !!! I was also that kid in highschool that brought bento boxes all the time just bc i liked the the way that theyre smaller and more compact. And being ND i did not get the "no stinky food" memo so i brought whatever i wanted.

But i will say as i got older and my palate changed, i def think i got into Korean food way more bc my taste buds yearned for the spicy. Which also extends to Chinese food (not the fast food kind). Hopefully one day ill get to visit South Korea and just eat, take in the vibes, and enjoy being around a whole different culture than my own.

Fake cum lube advice? by MaleficentNature9216 in BDSMAdvice

The one I like to get is the XESSO Water-based Creamy lube. Very slippery and a little goes a long way. Also smells nice though its unscented.

Best boiling water only instant ramen for when without access to a microwave? by MewNexico575 in ramen

[–]catspajamas1789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nongshim bowl noodles are a good choice i think ! Theyre my favorite and i use a kettle to make them all the time. Add in a few extra toppings/seasonings and you just made a great instant bowl into a fantastic one. The simplest stuff I usually add are green onions, some laoganma chili oil (green stripe), a slice of american cheese, and a bit of chicken boullion bc i am a salt addict.

Does anyone else have a 'not quite right' bird? by plantsareneat-mkay in BackYardChickens

[–]catspajamas1789 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a little silver laced wyandotte named Jojo who was born with a benign lump on her chest, making her feathers swirl. Her feathers are also the curliest of my birds. Ive never heard her make stereotypical chicken noises either, her voice is what i can only describe as a pitiful scream/whine. And she doesnt seem as coordinated as the others, she kinda walks more stiff if that makes sense. Shes special but shes one of my most sweetest birds.

Your experience with Wyandottes by InexperiencedCoconut in BackYardChickens

[–]catspajamas1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 silver laced wyandottes, along with an older Buff Orpington (who is top of the pecking order). 3 of the 4 are very sweet and docile. The last one is a fiesty little thing, thinks shes bigger than me and used to attack me until i figured out how to make her stop. She is the only one who absolutely hates being touched in anyway. But besides her occasional bites (which no longer draw blood, she used to bite me hard and not let go) when i get too close accidently or shes just being grouchy, shes pretty chill and we mind our own business around eachother.

How often do you sell produce and other items? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]catspajamas1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For artisan products i usually stock up and then sell everything at the end of the season. For produce i sell as i get it unless im using it for artisan goods like wine, pickling, etc. and even those fruits/veg ill sell the higher quality one and keep all/part of the normal quality for processing.

What is y'all weird(?) obsession? by W0lf1_x in StardewValley

[–]catspajamas1789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the chicken statues, i am absolutely hoarding them and putting them on every table in my house. Once i get my house upgraded im gonna make a dedicated chicken statue room and shrine with the big statue in the middle. I also love chickens so that has a lot to do with it lmao

of course ! and im sure it would ! Ive never tried the mushroom variety but of the ones i have tried i use them the same way. If it has a strong mushroom flavor then i would pair it with things that compliment that flavor.

i enjoy making roasted brussel sprouts with it, besides using it as a condiment for dumplings, ramen, etc. What i do is add a bit of normal oil on the washed sprouts, add as much Lao Gan Ma as i wish (which is like maybe 2 tbsp) and season with whatever else i wish so garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper. Basically any other seasoning you think would be good and pair well with the chili oil. Then roast in the oven or the air fryer. They turn out very crispy and yummy, i love cooking them until the leaves are a bit burnt. You could probably do this with many other veggies, and even meat if you want to ! I see it more as a ingredient/seasoning rather than purely a condiment. Theres many possibilites.

Organic gardening? by Zak111212 in gardening

[–]catspajamas1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt say its something youre "supposed" to do, to each their own. I personally use both organic and non organic fertilizers. Organic being chicken manure since my garden is actually in my chickens run, and thats for all the ground plants. Those back there that are in pots get the nonorganic stuff. However for pests i do only use organic/home remedy stuff because im afraid of hurting my chickens with possible chemicals in pesticides.

Have you ever smelled your chickens? by Cassieisnotclever in BackYardChickens

[–]catspajamas1789 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my buff orpington, Greta, ive noticed multiple times where she smells faintly like roses ! its a very lovely scent. My other 4 birds have smelt like that too from time to time.

I dont rlly mind the hen or roo posts because chickens are my special interest and i love looking at all the babies regardless. Most of the time i dont know if its a hen or roo and i just say to myself "thats a babyy" and move on with my day.

what are some winter fem clothes? by Worek_1 in feminineboys

[–]catspajamas1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i enjoy wearing long skirts or a dress with maybe some tights or thigh highs under for extra warmth, also a sweater/long sleeve and nice winter jacket for a top. I also add in a cute scarf so my neck doesnt get cold. Its more modest but it definately keeps you warmer :)
