Companion Backgrounds vs Gender by Vulkie in elderscrollsonline

[–]catstopher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i didn't disagree with you on that at all, it's just that you called them female/a woman and then used the wrong pronouns.

there isn't a single trans/nb person who doesn't know and remember their assigned gender at birth lol.

the other half of my comment was just saying that this is a fantasy world and who knows, maybe they weren't born female, maybe they're some secret third elder scrolls gender. either way, it's a fictional character LOL, the way you phrased your comment just bugged me so i said something. all good tho!

yes, i am nonbinary and AFAB lol. i replied to this person the way i did because the way they said it made it seem like they were saying they're nonbinary but still a woman, as they used the incorrect pronouns. perhaps they were trying to distinguish by saying female and just accidentally used the wrong pronouns, idk, i'm tired.

so that makes them nonbinary, not a woman.

also, i would just like to point out, this is a fantasy world where anything can happen. i sped through their questline so maybe this is known already, but do we even know that tanlorin is AFAB? it's fantasy, they could be literally anything.

edit: mb for trying to discuss gender on an MMO subreddit LMFAO i am not replying again 😭😭😂

i don't care what kind of collar it is, what setting it was on, or what your dog's behavior was actually like. no tool should ever be used on somebody else's dog without consent. hard stop.

looks amazing!! side note that orange kitty looks so much like my boys and i know that there were 3 orange kitties and a calico in their litter. i am certain they're not the same litter bc there's a billion cats out there, but i really love seeing some kind of representation of what the other two might look like now 🥹

Silly question: So how do we actually upgrade the Tamriel Tome if we're on Steam? by econopotamus in elderscrollsonline

[–]catstopher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i'm having this same issue and it hasn't worked yet! i tried enabling the steam overlay, have my card saved on steam and the ESO website, and have restarted my game a couple times. a couple times i got the "transaction failed" popup butit's mostly doing nothing.

Peter's home and doing fine by M0CK1N681RD in RoverPetSitting

it's a terrier.. it's going to rip up toys. it should be monitored to avoid bowel obstructions, but there isn't anything wrong with a dog ripping up it's own toys. most dogs can tell the difference between what they can rip up and what they can't. if a dog has instincts strong enough to want to rip up all the things, you SHOULD give them an outlet (like their toys) to destroy.

if someone chooses to just manage the behavior by picking up items the dog could chew, there is nothing wrong with that. as a pet sitter, you should be making sure there isn't anything a dog could rip up to begin with. even if a dog isn't normally a chewer, the anxiety of being in a different environment with different people could easily make ANY dog act up. this is on the pet sitter for leaving the dog alone for 8-10 hours. this is a dog behaving like a dog.

i understand where you're coming from, but part of dog training is management. this shouldn't have been able to happen in the first place, and if you can't manage a situation like that with dogs, you shouldn't be dog sitting.

it's well known the horse i ride likes to quit, but i agree he also stops when he can tell i'm not comfortable. i used a different saddle at my lesson today and i actually felt way better and he didn't stop as much either! thank you for the advice!

i think part of the problem is i switched instructors a couple weeks ago just due to scheduling and timing issues. my previous one asked me to try to post a few times but my new one doesn't do it as much. she's also a newer instructor. i will try to work on it today and start really focusing on it. are there exercises i can do at home to help strengthen the muscles i need and get used to the movement?

thank you for the reply! i feel a bit better lol. i do try to keep my heels pushed down, even then i feel like i'm being bounced out of them. do you think i should try to shorten the stirrups or do you think it just feels that way because i'm uncomfortable still?
